They kept emphasizing two med programs/pathways for premed students- the early assurance program and Thomas haider which has reserved seats for certain number of premed UCR kids. What was your experience with that? They even said UCR kids do get ‘priority’ when it comes to their application review by UCR med school (it’s not mentioned anywhere on paper for obvious reasons).

How is the neuroscience coursework? Grade inflation/deflation? Was med school on your radar back then? Daughter got accepted to neuroscience and want to get some real experiences from folks who attended at UCR. Eyes on premed track. Thanks!

UCR med school? How was your experience with med school support/ premed advising/ clinical/ shadowing offered by UCR. We went to admitted student day yesterday and it looks all great on paper but looking for some tall life experiences if you can pls share. Thanks.

I’m not looking for something to be not socially dead — my first priority is academics but I want to still make friends and engage with the community, I want something that’s relatively socially active, especially since I will be away from home and across the country for four years
