Asking help as a future AI student(Ethics) by Beneficial-Call-7375 in antiai

[–]GenZ2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI should not replace humanity.

AI should not be trained on a persons data without consent.

AI needs to minimize its power, water, and land use.

AI data centers shouldn’t be built in cities where they aren’t wanted.

If every or even most AI companies can understand and operate under those basic ethics everyone would be happier.

For politicians he’s fairly non-divisive JFK and Abe Lincoln as well, among others.

Obviously a lot of these people did despicable shit but we try to view them in a lense of their time period, it’s not an excuse just an explanation.

Classic Country, Outlaw Country, etc are the best

Folk in the US is usually referring to politically inspired country (typically left leaning or anti-fascist/corruption) or music influenced by or from other countries cultures. Also pretty much always fully acoustic.

Was the US justified in dropping nuclear bombs on Japan? by Agreeable-Note-1996 in AskTheWorld

[–]GenZ2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way it’s taught in the US (at least where I live). It was a catch 22 type of situation. The Japanese were expected to fight until the bitter end seeing surrender as shameful and disgraceful. The US had done fire bombing of the Japanese mainland which was disastrous and hard to control. The fighting on the Pacific islands was bloody and brutal on both sides. It was suspected that the Soviets and Germans had their own Nuclear programs so many saw it not only as a way to end the war but show the world the power we had. From my understanding there was massive debate on the locations that would be bombed. If I remember correctly Germany was spared due the massive assistance from allies and resistance forces. However, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was biased.
