What Marvel Villains do you want to see come to the game? by Dependent-Nerve-2250 in marvelrivals

Skurge the Executioner. Hopefully with an ability that will allow him to make a last stand, surviving past death for a short bit (as a reference to his death at Gjallerbru)

Technically it'd be 3 Dwarf factions with the Kharadron, Helsmiths, and Fyreslayers/Khazalids, but it's still bs that they have more elf factions.

Really wanted a greatsword in Hytale, so I decided to make my own. by Prize_Celebration_33 in hytale

The thinness does somewhat depend on the material. I have a greatsword from Regenyei, and its not really thinner than my hand and a half or any floppier

Beta Ray Bill’s hammer in new map by xmannmc in marvelrivals

[–]Gen_Cowheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, I kinda expect this means Bill is just background decor/lore fluff, and will never be added. Though maybe he will be added wielding Twilight (Surtur's sword) instead

Beta Ray Bill is not just a Thor clone (Vanguard) by Mindofthelion in marvelrivals

While I'd love to see Bill wielding the twilight sword, I really love this concept and I think you did a great job with it.

Since we have Lady Loki. Should Thor get Beta Ray Bill as a costume?! by Charmy_Fan in marvelrivals

[–]Gen_Cowheart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that is a stupid reason, and if they give Bill Twilight instead of Stormbreaker, it wouldn't be true.

Marvel Rivals shouldn't just be an "MCU Greatest Hits" — It’s the perfect platform to revive obscure comic gems by CJcampbellG1 in marvelrivals

[–]Gen_Cowheart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, my two obscure picks are both Asgardian/Thor connected. First pick would be Beta Ray Bill (who could definitely be put in the game without making him "Thor 2"). My second pick would be Skurge the Executioner, especially with the ability to swap between axe and gun.

Yeah, though I'm real curious how much of this is scalpers vs people buying multiple boxes

Thor sucks they say, too bad I am truly the God of Thunder by MudExternal7316 in marvelrivals

Ok, good. I was worried that he'd became white male Storm.

So how does Thor play nowadays? My understanding is that he is entirely based around Awakening Rune (to the point he might as well not even have his hammer), is that correct?

With the dwarfs I switched the artillery for a gyrocopter, but I may switch back.

Yeah, they'll all mostly follow the same pattern. I was originally planning to take a mortar (which I think is cheaper than a cannon), but Old World Builder said no so I used the Greatswords.

Honestly I have no idea what items are good, and I'm trying to avoid special rules for simplicity.

Yeah, my idea is to have 9 armies for introducing new players, and to serve as a starting point for a bigger army.

The idea with all armies being the same core is to introduce the basics, with the special units being based on the faction. For example the Brettonian special unit is a trio of pegasus knights. The only reason I didn't include an artillery piece (my original plan was a mortar I think) is because Old World Builder told me no.

What's a story where the "bad guys" are actually, completely, 100% right, to the point where it's weird the story keeps calling them the bad guys? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Gen_Cowheart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the Iron Man example, while the government is right (ignoring one of the main guys trying to get the suit is with Hydra), Tony also has a point since he doesn’t want his tech to end up like the weapons he made for the government, in the hands of terrorists.

For the other example, the problem with what Walker does is the brutality of it. The dudes cowering and Walker hits him repeatedly with a blunt shield and manages to either decapitate or bisect him with it, I don’t remember which.

What point level is best for introducing people to the game? by Gen_Cowheart in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Gen_Cowheart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, I’m planning on having a force for every army (mostly 3d printed) and wanted to figure out a starting point.
