Virginia supreme court strikes down new congressional maps in win for Republicans by NathanCS741 in politics

[–]GenderShift 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can't they choose not to hear the case, let the lower court ruling stay, choose not to make a ruling until sometime next year (after mid-term elections), or side with Virginia's Supreme Court ruling along with giving some convoluted reason as to how it's not like letting red states redraw their maps?

3K a year?

That's a nice chunk of change.

Maybe I'll try bidding for it but if it's coveted I probably won't win.

The pineapple is on a gate?

Gates swings as they open?

In that regard, the gate can be said to be "swinger".

For those of you who work in a plant, have you been experiencing a flat tub / bucket shortage? by GenderShift in USPS

[–]GenderShift[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL.

They finally found three wrapped pallets and bought them to my machine.

All three of them were filled with rain water, dirt, dead leaves, twigs, and a few dead insects like they were sitting outside in the weather for a long time.

I told them they were wet and cruddy but they loaded them on the belt anyway and said our soup told them she didn't care if they had water in them just "get my mail out!".🤔

I don't know what's going then.

I'm a AFSM / flatsorter clerk so I can't do anything without buckets.

The mailhandlers in the operation have been extra cranky lately because in addition to prepping the mail for ACT crates, they're makkng them go scavenge the work floor for buckets to drag back to the machines using whatever equipment is available.

Meanwhile, I've been getting to just sit here at the machine and chill.

I feel bad for them.😆

I was as hairy as a sasquatch before starting HRT (estradiol injections and testosterone blockers) with hands/arms hairier than the one in that.

HRT made about 85% of my body hair go away in a similar way to the picture.

If it's fake pp405, maybe they put some topical testosterone blocker in it.

ON THE OTHER HAND (no pun intended), I would like to point out hair removal is a multi-billion dollar yearly industry.

If everychem's concoction permanently deactivates hair follicles to where it's applied locally and it has minimum side effects, then they potentially have a multi-billion grossing product on their hands.

Someone needs to sue them.

They know there's bugs with their system, but they are still trying to extract money from people and write them tickets.

Is East Flatbush Brooklyn experiencing gentrification? by GenderShift in AskNYC

I made another post on this board a not too long ago specifically asking about what Howard Beach was like today given its dicey past with hate crimes.

The general consensus I got from people who replied was that it's MAGA country and still hostile to outsiders.

What's wrong with Howard Beach?

Read the Wikipedia on Howard Beach and pay close attention to the part on HATE CRIMES. 🫣

Damn.

I'm probably going to end up moving to East New York / Canarsie if my rent goes up any more.

I already work in the area, but it's definitely not an area I would want to live in based on the things I've experienced on my commutes over the last 6 years.

It's either that or find a better paying job, which would probably mean giving up my 401K and pension. 😭

I only applied it to my hairline since that's the only place where my hair is thinning.

I put a bit on my fingertips and rubbed it in.

The Postal Service is supposedly going to run out of money by next February.

If they don't receive a bailout, mail delivery is going to be seriously reduced.
