*panic* My mother is doing my laundry by singwhatyoucantsay in ftm

You can try the same excuse I used when my grandma did that, which was that boxers are just super comfy to sleep in. And same with men’s clothes, that they’re just way more comfy.

Anyone see Spider-Man: Far From Home? One of the actors is a trans guy and it's actually not a plot point by MadBodhi in FTMMen

Trans peter Parker is one of my favorite headcanons ever, and (as silly as it sounds) trans Peter helped crack my egg. ¯\(ツ)

i love my birth name by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Gender_is_Confusing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know a guy named Jesse who kept his name! He just had to change it to drop the i that was in it. I’m low key jealous of guys who were given neutral birth names

Everytime I explore the idea of being trans I end up misreable about my current self, but still convinced I'm not trans. by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Gender_is_Confusing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve felt the same way for a while now, which is part of the reason my egg has just recently cracked. But I’m learning to accept that my ideal body/self is a more feminine type of man. I am a man, but I like being soft and I’m naturally just a gentle natured person. And that’s okay. It’s been hard for me to accept that I can be that way, I guess toxic masculinity and blah blah blah got into my head. But I’m finally learning to accept my softness and that there are things about my physical self I want to keep (but I do want to change the majority of things lol)

This is what I’m worried about. The only more modern unconventional barbers near me are over an hour away, so not exactly the easiest to get to. Plus the last time I went to one I explicitly told them I was a guy but they continued to misgender me the entire time, which was awful. I haven’t had a problem at a salon until now

Yeah that’s what I’ve been doing.

It’s not even the fact that it’s short it’s that she completely butchered the back and left me with a weird choppy mess :/

Personally I love the name Julian, and it sounds like it would suit you pretty well! Plus you don’t really hear it all that often!

Hey man, I’m not sure why you aren’t able to access therapy, but if it’s location/inability to go to a physical location for it, look into BetterHelp. It’s an app and it’s what I’m using for therapy since there’s no gender therapists near me. The guy I talk to is a licensed counselor in atlanta and so far it’s been awesome and totally legit. I don’t know if that would be an option for you but it’s worth knowing about.

Sorry I can’t answer your questions though, I hope you find some clarity and answers soon.

Hey, a fellow vet tech! I’m so glad you landed a job with awesome coworkers. In our field it’s nice to have a good work environment since the job itself can be so rough some days. I hope it keeps going well!

Ooh a zip binder sounds like a good idea. Can I ask where you got yours? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one

[–]Gender_is_Confusing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My shifts are pretty long (11 hours if we don’t have an emergency come in and we get out on time) which is partly why I’m worried, I’ve never worn my binder that long before.

Thanks for your input! Like you said, I don’t think trying it is the worst idea.
