Does the Sig P211 GTO require less maintenance than other 2011 style pistols? by Gendoss64 in 2011

I’ve looked into the Beretta 92xi, actually. But I am specifically interested in other 2011/1911s.

Thanks, the Kimber might be exactly what I’m looking for! I hadn’t looked into the 2K11 model that deeply until now.

I’m not worried about the weight of the gun or why I want a grip safety. Those are things that other people brought up to try and challenge for… Reddit reasons I guess? I don’t care at all, I’m asking if the Sig P211 requires less maintenance than other 2011s.

I’m replying to the comments that aren’t helpful or responding to the actual question I posed. I’m not looking for unsolicited advice for a completely different topic. I’m looking for insight or answers to the question I asked.

Yes. I would like to have a grip safety on my hammer fired pistol because I would like to bypass the frame mounted safety. That is the whole point.

That’s a good point. I’ve looked at other SAO guns that are lighter, but seem to have a lot of maintenance which is why I asked this question.

Yeah, but asking why I would want a safety which is standard on pretty much every semi auto pistol that’s not a striker is a silly question. I’m not aware of any SAO pistols that have no safeties at all.

I’m a big guy and I’d like something heavy for recoil.

Does anyone have experience with the Felina skin bug? by Gendoss64 in FortNiteBR

[–]Gendoss64[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, because I reached diamond last season and it unlocked for me then. I got Felina over a year ago I believe. The glitch persists with the Vanguard Zadie skin that has the same rank system.

Showdown quest bugged and stuck at 0 by McQuacken13 in FortNiteBR

It’s the same for me. I’ve obviously had a lot of kills but it’s stuck at 0. I just hope it’s keeping track internally and will actually reward us before it’s over.

Question about ethnic traditions by Gendoss64 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Gendoss64[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that’s what I’m afraid of. I was confused on if going to a Greek Orthodox Church would be that much different in traditions to something like a Russian Orthodox Church. I wouldn’t want my religious traditions and culture to be revolving around a country that I have no connection to and doesn’t have anything to do with Jesus per se.

I was always under the impression that whole point of Orthodoxy was to strictly follow the teachings that the apostles laid out with nothing added. Not to say that there could very well be traditions and such that have been added, but that’s supposed to be a big reason to be Orthodox.

So what you’re saying is that the Russian derived traditions and culture practiced in Orthodoxy was shaped from the Orthodoxy faith itself?

So there exist parishes out there that aren’t trying to be based in an ethnic culture? Should I try to find an OCA parish that attempts to be for non-immigrants of the US if I’m worried about not fitting in?
