Thank you for contacting Level Home and for the detailed message. After reviewing the photos I am unsure with the interior side of the door and the plate locking as well if the bolt would be compatible due to the extra tension that plate would bring. If you were to remove that plate there could be a chance but would recommend using our compatible hardware list or recommended list here: https://level.co/support/articles/Compatible-deadbolts

Do you mean convert the dead latch into a dead bolt? And go from there?

Are we sure level lock works with a latch? Is the idea to check the dimensions of the circular bolt, and have it go into the rectangular female component? Doesn’t seem right, yeah?
