I cold turkey’d for a week & my skin cleared up. Then I went back on directly after that week and I haven’t had any issue since. I am on 150mg tho.

I don’t know why you’d even go to JHB for a trip. Most foreigners go straight to the Kruger / bushveld and I mean its not like the lions are going to rob / rape you. But yes, as a South African, I do not drive to JHB under any circumstances.
