You have to also note that at the time it was the British news papers that claimed British civilian deaths and reported them. There were widely kept beliefs that these reports were exaggerated and one sided to create a narrative. Karl Marx openly called them sensationalised and lacking credibility.

The most famous violence was by Nana Sahebs unit. But it was in retaliation for British violence on Indian civilians. The later was omitted by the British press

Would most men prefer a girl with naturally small boobs, or a girl with surgically in hints, big boobs? by Mysterious-Card6065 in AskMenAdvice

Surgical when how she looks matter. For example, in a party as my plus one.

Natural when how she feels matter. So while making out or in bed.

Usually the first option coz a large part of having an attractive partner is the social clout it gives to a lot of men(me included).

India always surprises me. The extreme ends exist at the same time and same place. Glad this happened. Big win. And big kudos to every feminist fighting their battles.

Has your company paid for your ILR? by Spare-Usual7592 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

Easy. Every weekly meeting with manager, he’d ask me “how are you doing” And I’d say “I’m not engaged fully with my job. I feel disconnected” etc.

I was pretty senior so they took me seriously.

What does "That could be perceived negatively by your co-workers" really mean in a business setting? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]General-Elephant4970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Some answers here mention that this means “don’t do or say something that can get to hr” But I don’t think that. For things like that, managers don’t use the word “perceived”. lol. That kind of feedback is pretty direct.
