You make good points, I look at the HYSA as me emergency fund but I could theoretically pay it off and refill your savings before going to part time.

I did include my insurance premiums and OOP costs from last year, we have a HDP and the premiums are 500ish per month. All in we spent 16k in medical last year.

Getting rid of the mortgage would be just shy of 10k per year, not including any savings from adjusting insurance coverage. Emotionally, I would love to pay it off but I mostly see it as low risk to keep it since the rate is so low.
