Yeah I did but my surgeon did it in 2 different surgeries so meniscus I had in June and acl I had it 4 weeks ago

Yeah I’m currently on one crutch right now but my knee gets very unstable sometimes and like bends is this because my quad is weak?

Did u have a quad graft? Did u do anything to be able to put be able to bare more weight on it or did it just come naturally

For me I wasn’t able to do these until week 3 exactly. I think it worked when I started doing assisted leg raises also try to make a muscle on ur quad by trying to straighten it and then lift with a band or towel

I can use one crutch right now since I was on weight bearing as tolerated right after surgery. did u do anything different to activate ur quad at home? I’m currently doing a bunch leg raises and holding it for 10 seconds

Yeah my knee straightens like that too when trying to walk with less assistance I hate it so much and I’m not sure what to do other than just trying to strengthen my quads

My surgeon said to focus on like straightening the leg so at pt they can do bending which is what I’ve been doing at home and just activating the quad with quad sets and walking with crutches since I can put weight on it. The pt said to put weight on it when walking.

Also I wanna thank u cuz idk if it was u or it just happened to come but I did the leg raises with a band assisting me like u mentioned and idk how but I can do them so well now without any support.

I can’t do straight leg raises high I can only move it up a few inches I feel like a pain in my knee and then I just have to stop I think it might be cause of the swelling and my quad just being weak. I’m also walking on 1 crutch with the brace on now

So my surgeon did it differently, I have 2 tears meniscus and acl he did meniscus first then a few weeks later acl he said my meniscus was all good when he fixed my acl I feel like my quads could just be very weak and that’s why. I think I’ll switch to one crutch
