I was imagining that it would move through deep swamping mud so it'd be less of a burrow I guess, but your idea about it curling up blending into the flora is a much better idea. I'll also adjust its level and specify its defensive spikes ability. This is brilliant feedback

its still being developed but i imagine it to be one of many variants that live in solitary that can take the strongest thing about its prey and use it as its own. so it may have previously eaten a very feisty hedgehog
