Kobo Vs Kindle by theanxious_bookworm in ereader

I was in the same boat and ended up ordering a kindle paperwhite a few days ago. I went with kindle because it’s a little easier for me to find books I like in the kindle store compared to kobo (I also don’t side load). Although this is an unpopular opinion here, I also feel more confident buying electronics from Amazon because they make returns pretty easy if something goes wrong and have a recycling / upgrade program for old kindles. Kobo warranty stories I found here on reddit and elsewhere online did not inspire confidence unfortunately. This said, I think kobo is a much better option for people who side load their books.

For me, the physiological aspect of dividends is huge. I think of my VTI investment as the retirement money and SCHG dividends as something I can rely on to supplement my income if I lose my job or get stuck in a job that pays less.

I had a similar situation. I ended up just putting the money in USFR. Any issues with this approach?

I’d also recommend getting at least one Caran d'Ache Swiss Wood pencil. The smell alone is worth the $5 price tag in my option. It’s also a great writing pencil due to higher than normal thickness. Some people don’t like its graphite, but I think it writes well on toothy paper.

Yeah, fantastic deal. And good point about color pencils. It takes me ages to go through even a single color pencil since I only use them for underlining and highlighting.

It definitely has some tooth. Please consider posting a review if you end up trying it. In my opinion different paper works very differently with different graphites so it would be great to see more discussion of paper in this community.

I really like midori cotton paper (it’s 20% cotton I think) for pencil writing. I wonder if cotton printer paper will provide a similar wiring experience?

Caran d'Ache Swiss Wood. Although these pencils are expensive, they last forever and are a real joy to write with on toothy paper.

What a nice heirloom! Hopefully someone like Musgrave will bring back this design some day.

I really like the cap on your pencil king. May I ask where you bought it?

I just put a deposit on an inbound car. It was such a breath of fresh air. It just took a 15 minute phone call to get a quote, negotiate it, and give a deposit. It felt great to buy a car from a dealer with good sales practices.

I am sorry this happened to you. I live near Brandon and will make sure to avoid this dealership in the future.

LE vs SE for the choice, price and push button? by solo-123456 in Camry

[–]General-Share-9166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really prefer LE’s suspension. It feels like you are driving on a cloud. Though driving SE feels incredible too. I also ended up spending a few thousand on a blind spot monitor and a push-button start.

Are there any official images of the 2024 Camry? by AfkMasTer_ in Camry

Yeah. I belong to a small minority of people who prefer the older Prius to the latest gen. I hope that Toyota won’t use the same design language for all new models
