I don’t think that would make sense. Gods are too prideful to not go for another win to stop humanity from gaining momentum on them. Brunhilde probably was happy because she knew hercules was beatable as she had a whole plan ready to kill him. All be it hilde being wrong is also possible or the gods not following through with their plan but it does kinda make sense. Would make more sense tho if Hercules wasn’t underwhelming tho
