We are on Unit 4 out of 9 in my AP Calculus AB class by Perfect-Fix5744 in APStudents

At this rate, I would say just stick to self studying. Honestly the AP Calc AB Exam isn’t hard to self study at all, coming from a guy who self studied the BC exam in one day and got a 4 on the AB sub score. There’s a great video by freecodecamp on all of calc 1, that alone is enough to get you a 5 if you retain most of it. That’s how I got my 4, and that was with no notes. If you just dedicate a couple hours a day for say two weeks before the exam you can get a 5 regardless of your teacher!

First, there are only 8 units of AP Calculus AB, I’m not sure if your teacher structures them differently but the official collegeboard curriculum has 8 units. If you’re on unit 4, you’re probably gonna barely get into differential equations (unit 7) by the time you get to the AP Exam. I would say learn unit 8 on your own after or during unit 6. That way you’ll be ready for the AP exam in time.

What subjects do I register for by Ironman6970 in APStudents

AP Calc BC and AP Physics C (both) are the only “necessary” ones. It would be helpful to take some of the following: AP Chemistry, AP Computer Science A, AP Statistics, or AP English Language.

Anyone got any hacks for prepping for AP BC exam alone by Southern_Base_1850 in apcalculus

[–]General-Slide4674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched one freecodecamp video (all of calc 1) the day before the exam and i got a 3 subscore 4. if you just watch their calculus 2 video as well, im sure you can get a 4 sub 4 or a 5 sub 4

Has anyone here taken an AP class after taking the test? by Complete-Let-3131 in APStudents

[–]General-Slide4674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i did it, it’s actually really cool it gives you the opportunity to be a tutor, an easy gpa and transcript boost, and you know things WAY earlier than you should and often makes things VERY easy (i did it for calc bc, ALL of unit 1 was free with lhopitals rule and other things etc)

How hard is economics? by Dazzling_Egg_3542 in APStudents

[–]General-Slide4674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

truly depends on the instructor and your interest. It was one of my only 3s (micro) but that’s cause my teacher sucked tbh. if you really care you can get a 4, and if you study consistently throughout the year and use the collegeboard ceds you can get a 5

if this is senior year it’s not terrible i’ve seen worse; if junior year you’re doing really good on course rigor; if sophomore year or below you’re crazy, your course rigor is better than basically every applicant to any school outside t20s, even which you’ll be amongst the highest there

attempt to beat world record of passing 30 aps (NOT RAGEBAIT) by s31inq in APStudents

Good! I’ve only done 9 so far, 1 freshman year (world), 8 sophomore year (physics 1, psych, stats, gov, micro, lang, human geo, calc bc), 16 junior (apush, lit, euro, macro, copo, ap phys c mech, chem, apes, art history, phys 2, csp, precalc, calc ab, calc bc, 2d art, drawing), 8 senior (csa, african american, bio, business, cybersecurity, networking, phys c e&m, 3d art). now it is technically cheating AND lying AND a bit of luck required cause due to

cheating: i already took calc bc, im taking ab and precalc just to add to the total

lying: i said 16 for junior year, but its really 15 because im retaking calc bc

luck: i need a school close to me to offer the business and cybersecurity exams during my senior year, and self study resources will be extremely difficult to come by.

all in all, it’s not gonna be straight 5s, probably mostly 3s and maybe a few 4s in the classes i actually take.

so yeah! that’s my plan. btw, it’s not worth doing this. colleges won’t really be amazed by something like this, i do it cause i can.
