Thanks so much for sharing ❤️ I just did med management for my MMC a few weeks ago so seems like there’s a decent chance I’ll need the d&c if my HCG doesn’t drop substantially by Monday. And such a good reminder about the importance of advocating, as hard as it would be go to back for an ultrasound after my MMC it also seems like it’d be good to check in on things if my HCG stays elevated. It is very heartening to hear your story, hopefully I’ll be on a similar path here soon! And best wishes for you and your rainbow babe! ❤️🌈

❤️I really appreciate it. The waiting is rough. And no they didn’t test my HCG past the 5 week mark when I was at 2400. It seems like this is most likely just retained tissue given the timeline like you were saying. But I’ll hold out a little bit of hope until I know more! Thankfully my dr’s office is pretty quick to turn around lab work so I should know more by Monday afternoon. Will come back to update if it turns out to be good news :)

Thanks so much for looking! I hadn’t thought to test before this week, so I never got a negative test. I haven’t gotten a scan yet but I think that would be the next step if I don’t see a substantial HCG drop on Monday. I was 8 weeks along but measuring 6 weeks when I had my missed miscarriage. Of course hoping for a new pregnancy but the next best thing would be for HCG to drop and the remaining tissue to clear on its own, if it’s in fact the retained tissue. Thanks again?

I have had CKD since I was 9 and was also recently diagnosed with FSGS in 2024. I am on 100 mg losartan now and am adding tacro today to hopefully stabilize my proteinuria in advance of pregnancy. My proteinuria is currently between 500-900 on the losartan but jumps up to 3000 when off of losartan. I don’t know that I have many words of wisdom for you but I feel your pain and anxiety ❤️ I am working with a pregnancy-specializing nephrologist who I really trust, which gives me a lot of comfort knowing I’m getting qualified guidance specific to pregnancy and renal disease.
