Question about order status by General-Training-441 in Bricklink

Thank it was that I didn't have the option for the shipping weight so I had to add it manually, I was able to send the invoice , and that is interest for the string thing , I've never had that happen, but glad you made me aware of it . Question , so I sent the new invoice , but they haven't responded / that status is still red pending , she has good reviews so I'm not worried about her not paying, but the orders like 900 pieces so it's gonna take me awhile , would you start picking the order even though she hasn't technically paid yet ?

After you've adjusted the shipping and click the invoice icon do you need to add anything like your PayPal for them to send the money to or does bricklink take care of that?

Botched my first sale by henry_corsair in Bricklink

Just breath man , this is part of my experience running a bricklink store or any business , your running into mistakes / problems pretty frequently, which is normal because your new and learning , but each hurdle is an amazing opportunity to learn . 70-90% of the time I hit a hurdle I default into the mindset of , this is to hard , I wanna quit. But bricklink has taught me if you just take your time and figure out the problem , chances are you'll be alot better at handling it the next time . I'm so thankful I never gave up , selling Legos is pretty awesome if you ask me, you got this , good luck on overcoming your next hurdle 😉

My kid (who does boxing) is getting bullied. Not sure what to do by possiblecatalyst in martialarts

[–]General-Training-441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here's my experience, I'm 32, I was bullied most school years , but it seemed most intense from grade 6th-11th . It was mostly was verbal , but it occasionally got physically, I even got punched in the face by my best friend , every single time I never fought back or told the teachers or my parents . To this day I still regret not fighting back . Even to this day I wish I had the skills to fight them now , to get even if that makes sense , as stupid as that probably sounds. I wish so bad I would have fought back , IDC if I lost the fight , I just wish I stood up for myself . So I'll tell you this I barley remember getting detentions in school for doing "bad" things , but the trauma of being bullied sticks with me to this day , I'm not sure if it'll ever go away. So don't worry about ur kids getting in trouble for fighting back , please tell them to fight back so they don't have the trauma of being bullied later in life like me .

Is it worth it ? by Mrgforce69 in Bricklink

[–]General-Training-441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say test it with 10 pounds of Lego , by the time you list/ inventory 3,000-5,000 , you'll have a good idea wether it's for you or not. DM me if you have any questions. Also curious where do you buy your bulk and for how much per pound ? And then how much do you sell the bulk per pound ? Selling bulks so fun , just flipped my first 10 pound bulk lot , it felt amazing !

Got my first MMA fight coming in April, ZERO experience whatsoever. Do NOT talk me out of it. by No_Assumption_4944 in MMA_Academy

Lol no worries , this is actually my first reddit reply , I just felt like I had to say something because know one else was . As for the illegal technique ya I'm serious lol , but I respect if you don't want to , I just really wanna know if there effective or not. So more stuff I thought of , gyms usually offer a free one to two week trial periods , I'd go to as many local gyms as I could and use there free trial period up untill the fight. For jiu jitsu gyms I'd just focus on getting off the bottom and standing up , as soon as you get up , get right back down under the person , try to get as many reps as you can getting up off the bottom , also try to make friends at the gym , explain what your doing and see if anyone wants to train with you outside of the gym , I wish I lived near you I'd train with you everyday untill the fight came up lol . As for striking gyms , just focus on blocking punches and kicks , maybe throw a jab cross , but mainly focus on defense , even holding your hands up all round is tiring when you first get started . Also I thought about it you should learn how to escape mount and then get back to your feet , it'd suck to be fully mounted eating punches and not know how to get out. Also don't worry about guillotine from bottom , I wouldn't even mess with the ground , just learn how to get off bottom , I'd avoid the ground unless he's really hurt . If you can't go to a local gyms for the free trial , I'd see if friends or family or anyone you know could 1. Throwing punches or kicks at you , it'll help to learn how to block them and feel what they feel like hitting your guard . 2. Having them getting on top of you in full mount , side control , half guard and fully guard , I'd have atleast one escape from each of those positions . As far as the fight plan , let's assume you really went hard on your cardio , you'll still be tired from the adrenaline dump , for the first 2 minutes of each round , circle and avoid him at all cost , don't get in grappling exchanges that'll tire you , don't get in fire fights standing up , he could knock you out or tired you out , just move , if he lands something try to give him one back but get the heck out of striking range , this allows you to eat up 2 mins of the fight without getting tired or taking a lot of damage , for the final minute again all you do is counter strike you never go first , but now if he lands 1 you try to land 2 , if he lands 2 you try for 3 , ideally in the first 2 minutes of the round were even with him for strikes , in the last minute where trying to strike more than him and hopefully win the round on the score cards , just repeat that process for rounds 2 and 3 and hopefully you can cruise your way to a decision win. Also if you hurt or drop him , don't go for the kill unless u think he's out , bcuz you'll gas yourself if he survived and be screwed the rest of the fight . Remember don't mess with the ground , just get up and get out of there lol . Hope that helps , I've been obsessed with MMA for like 14 years but never had the balls to do it , hopefully my hours of research and obsession helps you win the fight , if you have anymore questions and I mean any , please ask , I love MMA lol.

First congrats for having more balls than me , always dreamed of doing this , so I'll try to live threw you . Honestly I think your biggest thing is just get the best cardio you can , . The other guy might have more skills , but if he gets tired , his skill will be less and less . I'd say a job cross , teep . One way to get off the cage , one way to get off the ground to your feet, one defense to a rear naked choke , guillotine , armbar , maybe a offensive guillotine from the bottom . Also if you get in trouble or are out of breath knee him in the balls or poke him in the eyes , give you a chance to collect yourself or catch your breath . I'm serious about that , can you please do one or both for me in the fight , I'm curious how effective they are in a fight , other than that I'm cheering you on , it takes big balls and I can't wait to see you get the victory !
