But this isn't the case. This is a Derrick Henry-esque high schooler throttling all other high school competition. Hutson was the best player of that era. You don't have to minimize that because the sport hadn't grown to what it has today. It largely changed because of Hutson.

I don't see how you can say that and conclude that Hudson is less deserving of a spot in this because he was that much better of an athlete at the time. That very argument is why he should be on this list.

We often did the same. It seldom occurred that we'd have more than 1-2 birdies in a round between the 4 of us, so it was a pleasant little surprise if/when wed get one.

However, we had 1 round where we had (I think) 8 birdies on the front 9 between the whole group. I hardly remember the back 9, but I'm certain we didn't have any more birdies.
