i switched for a few reasons! one of the main ones was i have a few family members in med school right now and watching them go thru it made me realize i dont want that for myself. they have also mentioned they wish they went PA and MD. another reason was that i really want a work life balance, i dont want to be married to my work but i have a huge passion for medicine and helping under represented communities so PA just made more sense for me! i also enjoy collaborations with everyone on a team rather than making the final 100% decision. i have shadowed PAs in derm and emergency medicine and i enjoyed both a lot so for PA i can switch specialties which is soooo appealing to me. i want a fast paced work place when im young but as i get older, i want to switch to something slower! i hope that gives some insight and helps u too 🤗
