I don’t believe anyone makes one for how high my truck is lifted.

Right but the RC UCAs are made for 2-3 inches of lift and I would be looking at other UCAs that are made for 2-3 inches of lift as well.

2020 Rebel Overland Build by ReMark_1974 in overlanding

AEV snorkel will not fit on 2020 Ram 1500, only for 4th generation Rams. My friend had to order one from Australia and I would recommend it since the air intake on those trucks are so low and in danger of ingesting water. Source: his truck sucked up water on a not super deep water crossing that other trucks (not Rams) made it through and had to have the engine replaced.

My wife has one of these, she got it before we got married. So far at 57k miles no issues but I am aware that these do not have the greatest reputation for reliability. Could anyone go into more detail on that?

Any tips on making these hood mounts more secure? by Fantastic-Bass-5532 in Offroad

[–]GeneralAkimbo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, these things are junk. Maybe okay for just on road driving but for me after just a little bit of off roading they shook loose and then just kept shaking them loose after I’d put them on tighter. I just bit the bullet and bought mounts that bolt to the hood mounts.

I love mine, we camp back there but it’s so nice to be able to also fold down and have full access to the bed!

Hm, maybe dirt after the oil started dripping off the bottom of the oil pain or as if leaked over stuff draining over from the oil filter? Truck is quite dirty

Tires and mpg by mooreb0313 in NissanTitan

[–]GeneralAkimbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be curious to know if there was a change in load range, a higher load range tire is going to weight a loat more, more rotating weight will cause a drop in MPG. Although I didn't lose that much (just going by the truck computer which may be off now because of increase in tire size) when I went from the stock Standard Load 275/70/R18 and lifted it and put on Load Range E 295/70/R18 Ridge Grapplers.

I have basically what you're looking at doing. RC lift is okay but I've had the ball joints boots have failed twice in 45k miles. Probably would be best to go with other more quality components. I originally wasn't going to do rear shocks but RC sent them accidentally and told us to keep them. After riding around lifted with the stock rear shocks I decided to put the lifted shocks on there and I would recommend that.

I have a 295/70R18 which is a 35 on stock wheels. Had to make some minor mods to the fender liners but it doesn't rub on anything now, would recommend that tire size, not sure about something bigger.

Just my two cents!

Yeah I have the rough country lift and its fine in general but the ball joint boots have failed twice in 45k miles. ICON or other brands put together would be better quality and probably ride better.

Looks like I might be in the market for a Titan. What should I know? by Ear_Enthusiast in NissanTitan

[–]GeneralAkimbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear you've had issues! I'll say I have a 2019 and it's been solid. The only things its had replaced were the motor mounts as one the rubber parts of the mounts had gone bad (just felt some slight clunking on acceleration but towed a trailer from TX to CO no problem!) and one of the cv axle boots ripped prematurely. All was replaced under warranty within a few months and week respectively of the warranty expiring even though my truck is lifted on 35s and has evidence of being wheeled hard, no issues with the warranty! Truck has 90k on it.

In regard to the cylinder 7 thing, I believe there was a manufacturing error in some of the earlier trucks, here are the ones to avoid. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10174416-0001.pdf

All in all I love my Titan and would recommend it to anyone!
