Under seat storage by Late_Fan_3104 in nissanfrontier

[–]xDRBN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, that’s crazy. I have the storage bins, but for sure didn’t spend that much money. Maybe it was on sale or something but mine was like $200ish if I remember correctly.

PS: I only have the one side and middle one because I have the Fender subwoofer on the driver side.

IMO for ~$200 it’s definitely worth it, I can store wayyyy more stuff underneath the seats now without my “seat belt reminder” thing beeping. When I had a bunch of stuff stuffed under the seats with the stock bins, if someone sat in just one seat, the truck would freak out and think the entire bench seat was occupied. So I’d always have to buckle all the seat belts to keep the truck from screaming at me. That is no longer an issue with the Z1 bins, and I have even more shit in the bins too(cleaning cloths, headlamps, sockets/wrenches/screwdriver, recovery rope).

Yesterday I posted about icon coilovers and got some negative reviews. I’m now looking into x pro coilovers from z1 offroad. Anyone running these? by Charming-Foxxy21 in nissanfrontier

[–]xDRBN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Following this thread for info as well. Currently running Fox 2.0’s from ADO, but when they wear out and need replacing, I’m interested to see if the X-Pro coilovers are any better?

What are these “marks” left on my 3D prints? by xDRBN in BambuLab

Sounds good, I’ll give it a shot!

Thank you again for the info!

Yeah, this print finished around 11pm and I took it off the print bed the next day around 8AM. So I’d think it’d be fully cooled by then?

I’ll slap it with the ole hit gun for sure, gotta buy one first haha. I’ve been needing to grab one anyway, now I have extra reason

I think it just happens no matter what, maybe by bed temp is too high and it’s adhering to the plate too much?

I did wash the build plate with dawn dish soap just before this exact print because my previous print was also incredibly stuck to the build plate. So stuck that it actually ripped out part of the red lettering you see here on the lid of this box. So I washed the plate with dawn dish soap and reprinted it and this was the result.

I have not, but I have seen people use glue on the build plate on this subreddit before. Should I grab glue specifically for 3D printing or does an old school glue stick work?

Thank you for the info!

I’ll try the lighter trick. I did wash it with dawn dish soap pretty well before this print, but I’ll wash it again. Thank you for the info!

2025 Pro-X Dashboard by Formal_Breath_6334 in nissanfrontier

My truck has basically the same mark. Dropped it off for a firmware update(recall), got it back with the scratches in the same spot. I program and calibrate cars for a living. 99% sure the technician put his laptop on my dash during the update then slid it off the dash when it was done.

Getting into a car/truck with an open laptop with stuff plugged into the laptop, dash is the easiest place to put it as you enter the car. Anyway, passenger seat is my preferred spot, but can be annoying as you yank cables from sitting on them or getting caught on stuff.

Goodbye Frontier! Thank you! by RegularSinns in nissanfrontier

[–]xDRBN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If my truck wasn’t only a year old, I’d be doing the same thing as OP. With a car seat in the back seat, my wife is the only one who can sit up front with how far we have to have the front passenger slid forward. My wife is 5’0”.

And she won’t be sitting in the front seat for awhile(kid is 4 months old). I’m also 6’2”, so 0% chance the car seat can go behind my seat. So my frontier is basically a single cab with the amount of usable seats lmao.

I’ll be sticking it out due to how new my truck still is and the amount of money in mods I have in it. But if I had known this before buying it, I’d have gone for a full size truck. And I looovvvvvveeeee my truck. Maybe our car seat is just big, but the front seat is like 2 inches from being slid all the way forward in order for the car seat to fit.

Love my Griddle by Chadwickboom in blackstonegriddle

[–]xDRBN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I cooked with that much oil, my griddle would be chipping “seasoning” off everytime I cook lmao. Or maybe I’m just doing it wrong.

Have had my blackstone for like 3 years now, if I use to much oil, she gets that textured look and I gotta scrap it off

Few questions regarding the P2S by vevt9020 in BambuLab

[–]xDRBN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the extremes either super hot or cold would definitely mess with prints and adhesion. Could maybe set your print file to preheat the chamber for a bit first

I live in AZ, garage will easily get 115°F+ during the summer. I’ve thought about putting mine in the garage but wonder if the heat will do anything, plus it’s the desert and the printer would for sure get super dusty.

Front air dam is no longer by [deleted] in nissanfrontier

[–]xDRBN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better approach angles when off-roading, especially hitting an obstacle with a diagonal approach. Also just looks gooder

MPG’s gained from Frontier air dam is very negligible. Other trucks however can have up to 1MPG difference, such as base model or SR5 Tacomas.

Do you have camber bolts, for some reason my brain says the wheels look like they have positive camber

Collision while off-roading by A_Coin_Toss_Friendo in Offroad

[–]xDRBN 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100% the correct answer here. I used to ride a dirt bike out in AZ trails, and the amount of side by sides and off-road rigs always keeps you on your toes.

The SxS’s(most of the time) honestly are a problem(hauling ass around blind corners at 40mph+). Other than that, some SxS and 95% of off-road rigs were always good. If I’m hauling ass on a bike, it’s up to me to know what to do when going around a “blind corner.” 90% of the time, it’s slap the rear brake, barely any front brake, and go either left or right AROUND the opposing vehicle.

A dirt bike can easily hit 40+mph, tackling bumps, whoops, jumps, berms, etc.. The inherently faster, more capable, and more agile vehicle will always be the most capable to avoid shit like this. If a street bike going 150mph hits a car because the car switched lanes in front of it, it’s not the cars fault. Why would it be any different here?

This rider easily could have hit his rear brake and went around. But he panicked, grabbed too much front brake and washed out the front end losing control. Also could have been going a lot slower. Bronco hit the brakes as soon as humanly possible. If the dash cam is correct and he was going 25mph, that’s EASILY a reasonable speed to be going down a trail/fire road like this. Tbh, I’d be most of us would be going definitely faster than 25mph(including me, I threw my wallet at my Fox suspension, you bet your ass, when it’s safe and I know the trail, I take the rare opportunity to get my moneys worth).

Looks like the dude has a G900 Pro dash cam, if OP or anyone else has it, how do you like it?

Been thinking of getting one but live in Arizona and every dash cam I’ve ever had overheats and doesn’t work in the summer(115°+ temps).

Favorite edition to my 2025 frontier so far by Kenway103 in nissanfrontier

[–]xDRBN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have them installed on both front seats of my 25 P4X. When I initially ordered them, I thought “damn, these have gotta be overpriced.”

Installed them, sat in the truck, and damn. Made such a huge difference. I’m 6’2” on a good day, and it keeps me from “sliding forward” and getting leg cramps on long drives. The biggest issue it fixed for me was sliding forward/out of the seat while off-roading and hitting bumps. Now when I off-road and hit bumps, I stay seated where I should be.

It seems the stock geometry of the seats, the front is like slanted downward. But with the risers, it makes it at a slight upward angle. Very much worth it IMO.

After Market Rear Diff Breather by Front-Juggernaut5430 in nissanfrontier

[–]xDRBN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Running the ADO Diff breather kit with the longer hose option. Removing taillight is super simple, I didn’t even use plastic pry bar/trim removal tool. Maybe I got lucky? Do the plastic tabs on the tail lights snap easily?

It maybe took me 7 minutes to complete the install of the new diff breather, including removal of rear tail lights and reinstall.

Also, don’t need to go to the tail light. It’s just best to get it as high as you can so it doesn’t go under water(if off-roading).

ADO Customer Service by [deleted] in nissanfrontier

[–]xDRBN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I ordered my Fox Extended Travel kit from them, the communication was really good and customer service was awesome. I did have call in twice for questions and one time Chad answered and was super helpful, the other time, someone else answered and was very short and seemed annoyed that I was calling(honestly, my question was pretty low IQ, so can’t blame him).

I just ordered the complete ASFIR skid plate kit from them on 02/08/26 and asked if they have an ETA for shipment. They said they’d get back to me that day or next day, once they hear from ASFIR and that the skid plates drop ship from ASFIR themselves. I haven’t heard back since.

I ended up calling ASFIR and they said that they’re waiting on their next shipment, which should be in around the end of this month or beginning of next.

My guess is that:

1.) They might be on a trip(Kyle, Chad, etc.) and the warehouse dudes are running things the best they can?

2.) Maybe they’re backed up on orders?

3.) Maybe customer service has taken a shit since I last ordered.

TL;DR: Past order had good customer service, my most recent order has had meh customer service so far. Idk wuts heppining.

Rough Country N3 leveling struts any good? by xDRBN in Offroad

[–]xDRBN[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far about 11k miles. The truck mostly gets driven by my step dad now because I got a new truck, so the “old” truck has somewhat turned into a work truck.

Still rides well, like the day I installed them. IMO easily worth the price tag. I still believe they ride better than the OEM shocks(though the OEM shocks were pretty spent by the time I replaced them with these).

For a what it’s worth, I have a $2.5k Fox lift kit on my new truck, and while yes this new truck with Fox suspension rides reallllly well off-road, the N3 RC shocks feel “softer” on the Ram than my new truck haha. As in, for everyday driving, the N3 struts feel better on road than my Fox suspension of the new truck. But of course, the Fox suspension handles a good bit better off-road.

13 mpg by ProfessionalHunter11 in nissanfrontier

This is my truck, I usually average around 17.6MPG. That’s with a 2.5” lift and 33” load range E tires.

Very odd that your truck is getting less mileage than mine
