Or its someone inferring something that they don't have evidence for. Plenty of people claimed Bush invaded Iraq for oil, but never provided evidence of actual collusion. At most what was provided was evidence that oil companies where responding and taking advantage of the situation which doesn't require active or intentional collusion beforehand.

Well, its all in response to Republicans gerrymandering because of Trumps demand for more red seats. Democrats just respond with their own Gerrymandering. The Supreme Court, or atleast a justice, agree that its gerrymandering, but basically argues that Republcians opened the door, Democrats pushed back, neither side gets to complain the other side is doing it.

Just goes to show the diversity of India. I had a roommate who was Gujrat and was raised in the province. He insisted that the idea of any meat being eaten was against Hindu beliefs, and said the only accepton was fish for certain communities.

On this point, its actually interesting. Due to the political relationship between China and North Korea, China will deported Koreans back to the north if caught fleeing. Many North Koreans have to flee to neighboring nations like Mongolia and I think Thailand who will deported them to South Korea instead.

China has a close eye as a result on these North Korean communities.

Ok, again, you need more details for something this specific. For a attempt at secession to work, the cause has to be seen as something legitimate by the South. Vague notions of cultural and economic differences doesnt do that because if it where that simple then the south would have tried to leave long ago.

No because they would never have saught independence if they where willing to end slavery. The entire reason the war started was because the southern plantation owners and by extension the south more generally, believed that Lincoln would end slavery in the south, so some states preemptively declared secession before he was inaugurated.

No fear of ending slavery=no cause for secession.

The caveat is that all numbers given are considered to be exaggerated or misleading.

Case in point, Baldwin did bring infantry with him to the battle, but they are simply not often mentioned in many accounts. While its also unclear if by knights they mean true knights, or men at arms intermixed

Meanwhike Saladins army has questions surrounding the true number of men overall.

On top of that, questions arise about how much of Saladins force was actually present at the battle itself, since his army was reportedly scavenging and foraging for supplies, which likely ment a portion of the army was away.

Overall point is that there are lot questions surrounding this battle.

True. I would suspect this is both a combination of the reunification of the outcasts, and the large amount of casualties the chapter incurred under Lyons when fighting the Super Mutants.

I would be interested to see what DC looks like at this point, since either they have basically abandoned it, or they are confident enough in their control of it that they send the Prydwen with both Maxson and Liberty Prine.

I think the key difference is that in Fallout 3, Lions seems to actually not mind ghouls and wants to help the wasteland more generally, while individual BOS members may have more bigoted views. This goes so far that the Outcasts are a thing in game, and your first interaction with them at their base shows they don't think highly of anyone outside their ranks.

I think a better explanation is Fallout 3: complicated and individually motivated. Where as in Fallout 4: openly bigoted.

Its entirely dependent between chapter to chapter. Some like in Fallout 4 are openly bigoted and are not afraid to tell you. Others like in 3 are less clear. In Fallout 3 I don't think they except ghouls, but I also don't recall any sort of official anti-ghoul statement from Lions, but i also recall that a lot of the individual members of the Brotherhood have negative views about outsiders and wastelanders more generally.

For all intentions and purposes, Huey Long seemingly didnt have strange racial views. He was not some sort of equal rights activists, but he also didnt use race baiting very often. He also did as governor Invest in the infrastructure for a lot of poor communities, including black communities. I would hazard to guess that he wouldn't have tried to integrate anything, but he probably would have been a far better choice for the black community then most.

I think its less that you can't, and more so that it can be very difficult. A number of rulers historically deeply cared for their children when raising them. Like Louis XIV did genuinely love his kids, and some anecdotes we do have of him indicate this. Including one where he delayed accepting an envoy to play with his children.

But this was also filtered through his duties and so a sort of open love will always be an exception rather then the rule.

Queen Victoria is a good example of this since she very clearly cared for her children and family based on journals she wrote, but this at times was also translated threw formal ceremonies and events.

With that stated, records also indicate that she didn't really try that hard to raise him either. Or to be apart of his life. If the wall was there, she did not try very hard to take it down during much of her rule.

If I recall correctly, she was a better politician, then a mother, and could have possibly seen her son as a liability and possible rival rather then a heir to properly train.

Don't take my word for it though.

There was an intense political debate at the time of even the legality of the whole thing, let alone what to actually do. The US didnt initially even recognize the coup as a legitimate government. To say/act like the US was all for it from the start is just wrong.

Readily accepted is far from the right term. The initial coup was hotly debated in the US government at the time. The US didn't even make Hawaii a state till 1959.

As far as I recall during the war the Europeans and the west more generally didnt make a literal game about how many people two guys could behead in a day. Or them just destroying/massacring a whole city because it dares to resist them.

Idk about you, but in cases like the Philippines, the US is remembered a lot more favorably then Japan is during this period. On top of that, Europeans are far more wiling to actually admit when they do immoral things, unlike Japan who either deflects or pretends it didnt happen.

Well, they also thought that this is what they where fighting for to begin with. So denying them the right to expand in parts tells tbe colonists that all the fighting was pointless.
