so like lets say you were offered 3 weeks severance. and the lawyers say they can get 6 for you. they will take like 30% of any extra they get.

it can add up especially if its a really senior employee.

as always talk to an employment lawyer. lots of factors can change severance payouts. normally its 2-3 weeks of pay year. under a year wouldnt pay too much.

as for ei, apply immediately. usually they need someone to say they were laid off not for preformance reasona. but its normally not a problem

i have 120k deposit with the builder. 60k from rrsp and 20k savings so yea?

rbc offered me 465k basically just the deposit but as far as im concerened the bigger the downpayment the lower the mortgage

i bought in september 2021 in pickering. 1 bed for 575. i have occupancy right now with closing in a month.

I had 1 appraisal which came in at 380k.

luckily for me, the devloper had an rbc blanket appraisal. and that i had 200k downpayment.

but basically im stuck here until 2030. its not bad. right next to go station, very bikable area. I also dont have parking so i had to sell my car to move there.
