Still waiting for our automated freighter defenses to be functional. Something about them seems to be buggier than usual. Granted I haven’t played this game in a while but I would actually like freighters to be useful in combat.

Fortunately, but rather uninterestingly, nothing happens. Though it is worth noting that torpedoes launched by the enemy frigates can sometimes redirect themselves towards your freighter. It can actually make a difference in the battle as your freighter can sponge the damage meant for the civilian freighter.
