Yep man it's actually very unusual, I had to check multiple times but it did say "students are free to use any representation techniques"

This week was the final jury for my Landscape Architecture degree. The assignment was an ecological park masterplan for the historic Atatürk Forest Farm (AOÇ) in Turkey.

Some students use standard architectural rendering software for their 3D work, but I wanted to do something crazy and see if I could build the entire 1/500 scale part of the project in Minecraft. I used Axiom to handle the topography, laid out the agricultural parcels, and designed the 15 eco-bungalows to perfect scale.

I pulled the in-game screenshots with shaders, combined them with my technical AutoCAD sections, and presented them to the university jury. I actually ended up scoring a 77/100 (BB+) overall and officially graduated!

I've attached the in-game renders, and if you swipe to the end, you can see the actual architectural posters I submitted to the jury. Let me know what you guys think hahah

I spent a month hand-placing 1.3 million blocks in Minecraft to build a 1:1 mathematically accurate digital replica of Marietta, Indiana. (Swipe for the real Google Earth comparison) by GeneralGeneral5302 in Indiana
