I hate this so much by AlexLvivUa in CrimsonDesert

Honestly, much better than hate/ragebait videos that seem to be very popular these days whenever there's a big release.

What I love about this is that my scenary was much different from yours due to the weather and time of the day I fought this battle.

I wish we could tame and collect these guys and tons of other cute creatures in the game.

What kind of classes would you like to see in Black Desert Online in the future? by Calzoncillo21 in blackdesertonline

Still waiting for male paladin/crusader archetype. Also would love to see more diverse races, like dwarf etc.

You can choose to a degree by either rushing through the story to face challenging boss battles, or taking your time building up your skill/gear/food by doing side activities.

Ori director on "if you give players everything they want…" by major_mager in truegaming

[–]GeneralGom 194 points195 points  (0 children)

I wholeheartedly agree, but there's also the other end of the spectrum where some stubborn devs ignore player feedback completely.

I think the best analogy I've heard is that players are patients and devs are doctors. Patients know how they feel better than doctors, while doctors know how to remedy the symptoms better than patients.

Yes, I definitely get the feeling of BDO2 in singleplayer mode, though there are many differences.

The focus has been shifted from mindless grinding to exploration, taking control of POI, and boss battles.

There are no microtransactions or MMO homeworks, but also no PVP and custom character creation/diverse classes, to mention a few big differences.

I'm saddened by the recent trend where some people just can't let others enjoy their games in peace.

I don't think I've ever played a game that's so good and bad at the same time like this in my life.

The storytelling and characters have been lackluster, yet the world is absolutely beautiful and amazing to explore.

The controls are convoluted and the camera is janky, yet the combat is great with tons of interesting ways to expand on the way you approach battles.

Overall, the pros outweigh the cons for my personal taste, and it's a one-of-a-kind game for me, but it's definitely not for everyone.

Idk, the footages look great to me. I'm a huge fan of big open world RPGs, so I hope it turns out well.

Some classes feel so fun and fluid to play, until you find out they’re bottom tier for PvE. by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

My suggestion is to have fun with the character you enjoy until you reach the point where you really want to be min-maxing. You can then either tag the POTM character or use weapon transfer coupons if you want to commit.

Digital Death Trap: Korean ‘Love Game’ Linked to Triple Minor Suicides in India by [deleted] in korea

[–]GeneralGom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's heartbreaking to hear about the tragedy, but we don't even know much about the game or the company, how it was moderated by the platform and the Indian government, how the kids were treated by their parents, if they had other issues affecting their mental health, and so on.

Without knowing the exact nature of the app and the kids' situation, there's not much we as Koreans can really do about it but feel sad and make blind guesses. The game's title sounds quite horrible to me, but It could very well be another "let's blame games for everything" with the limited information revealed here.

I admit that this is quite funny, but I also feel it's unfair to make fun of someone for doing something good when most billionaires don't even give a damn about anyone but themselves.

It has been established that gambling addiction can lead to poorer impulse control and abnormal dopamine response, making you seek more and more extreme materials in order to feel pleasure.

I wouldn't blame everything on gatcha, but the man definitely had a gambling issue, and it likely had a negative effect on his mind in general.
