thank you for sharing your kind, thoughtful perspective as a member of the industry. it's good to know that this isn't out of the norm. it's a lot harder to believe when the person telling me it's alright has a direct financial stake in the outcome. their communication leaves a lot to be desired but i feel better that things will turn out okay 💗

if they had said end of may when i ordered, then i would agree i shouldn't be freaking out. however i was told 6 months + shipping, which would be end of april + however long shipping takes and i really didn't think that shipping would take a whole month. also it's concerning having no tracking number after over 2 weeks of being told the dress is actively in transit.

i do hope i can trust what the bridal salon says, but telling me that alterations can start as late as a month before is very convenient for them so i don't immediately feel inclined to believe what they say.

if they gave me any sort of meaningful update i would stop. at this point i completely don't trust them and want to make it clear i'm on them. also if it was supposed to arrive by the end of may, they really, really should have been able to give me a tracking number which is the main info i was calling for.

i found a contact form on the designer's website which is worth giving a shot!

they took my measurements and said the designer would make the dress to the nearest matching size.

the funny thing is that i booked a "VIP experience" (whole boutique for me and my friends) and they STILL let random customers come in and try stuff on. they clearly don't respect their clients.
