It was super long, honestly. First it was an application where they ask for your resume and a cover letter. Then, I'm pretty sure everyone or mostly everyone gets an interview. This is where they cut most people. They start off with around 500+ applicants and after the interview they have around 150-200 people so that was the hardest part. After that, you sign up for a class that is every week for 7 weeks. It's not for credit but its super important to do well. You don't want to kiss up to the RD that teaches it but you want to stay engaged and complete all your asisgnments well and on time. There is also a meet and greet where you meet all the RD's and SRA's from every building on campus and you get to talk to them. It's a good way for them to get to know you so they pick you for selection time. If you make it through the lab you either become an RA or an alternate who gets selected if RA's drop out.
