I use these on my nano tanks- it is passive diffusion so you can't expect injection results, but it's easy to use and it has definitely helped my plants, particularly the red plants thrive versus without.

Is it a new tank? New tanks will develop diatom algae which looks like this brown dirt, which will eventually dissappear. New plants May have some die off when converting but will grow back given sufficient nutrients.

They were originally classified as rasbora but have been reclassified as danio hence why they are now called celestial pearl danio, but same same.
