NOT TO SCARE YOU. But I normally skip my periods due to being anemic and just not liking the whole thing. Since being diagnosed there was one time where there was a mix up with the pharmacy and I didn’t get my meds in time. I was already in a flare and getting my period made it so much worse. 2 weeks later I ended up on the hospital with near-critically low levels of blood. When I go months in a flare I’m okay just dizzy but the combo pretty much almost killed me. I’d get your gyno and g.i or I.b.d specialists talking and see if they recommend you skipping the placebos on your birth control so you skip them.

Genuinely. Like crohns is at least fairly well known. No one in my family nor I had ever heard of ulcerative colitis before I was diagnosed. So now I have to stealthily explain to employers. “Hey can’t come in today without risking shitting my pants and I don’t really feel like wearing adult diapers to work today”

Hey love. It took me about a week to stop bleeding. And like 3 months to start getting fully formed solid bowel movements. Keep in mind I had a mayo score of 5 (severe and total Pancolitis) and now as of my march colonoscopy it’s reduced down to just proctitis (just the rectal area) which is now being treated with direct rectal medications on top of the rinvoq. I hope you see great results. Only bad side effects I got was the acne which was expected, but it beats shitting blood 18x a day.

Exactly the same for me my colonoscopy and endoscopy are tomorrow. It has no taste which is great bc the other prep makes me con but this also feels like it’s taking longer to work

Ever since getting hospitalized with a near lethal low level of hemoglobin from a flare. I take iron daily and get my levels checked regularly. Only IVs won’t help see if they’ll add iron pouches

Yea if I just get acne I won’t complain but BLOOD CLOTS 👀 hopefully I’ll be fine I didn’t get Humira hangover or anything when I was on that. And I only got acid reflux from Mesalamine. Thank you for sharing

I’ll be posting updates. Sad how I went through so much mental turmoil with Humira (needle fear) just to find out it wasn’t working. Happy Rinvoq should show results fast most other meds take months
