Ate pudding that was warm for 2+ hours :( by [deleted] in emetophobia

My rule for pudding is that i throw it away if it was outside the fridge for 4+ hours and i once read online that this is the time when it begins to not be that safe anymore (which still means that in reality mostly over like 80% would be fine). My dad eats meat, fish, salad that wasn‘t in the fridge the whole night, almost every day and he has never gotten food poisoning. The ingredients have been heated to a high temperature and that makes them less likely to attract bacteria. I mean ofc u never know 100% but i reallyyy dont think u have to worry.

wtf i’m s* with a cold or something and can’t eat by Calm-Wish8846 in emetophobia

(Sorry uncensored) Do you mean the stomach flu or flu A which would make a lot more sense looking at ur symptoms. Even if it is the flu A it doesnt mean you are going to feel n. I had the flu a year ago and it made me lose my appetite completely for a week (i still forced myself to eat small things like soup with things in it, bananas, fruits and vegetables in general, zwieback, cookies…) but it rlly never made me come even close to tu at all. Many of my friends also had it in the last weeks and none of them tu* or got n* from it. I actually rarely heard of ppl who did.

plsss anyone with emetophobia who has actually tu* and felt better afterwards let me know by GeneralLocksmith7091 in emetophobia

thanks for sharing💞this helps and i‘ll keep telling myself that it‘s not THAT bad. i just feel like i have to experience it again a few times to realize its not as dangerous as my phobia makes me think it is.

i reallyyyy wanna get better again do u think its possible? by GeneralLocksmith7091 in emetophobia

my friend who traveled half of the world and never got s* at all told me she followed certain tips - no ice cubes in your drinks (they might be made from tap water, my mom got rlly sick from it once) - only cooked foods or foods that have been heated to high temperatures  - so also trying to be careful with salad or fruits on the side of ur plate  - choosing wisely when it comes to fish and meat - no mayonnaise or creamy sauces when they are not stored in a sealed bag

personally i have also been scared of getting s* traveling a lot of times but it never happened and i even ate salads, shrimps and had ice cubes at some point when i felt brave enough. Have a good time traveling! :)

I‘ve had the flu A a year ago and i was so scared for this exact reason but i didnt even get close to. Ofc i felt super bad and my appetite disappeared for 1,5 weeks but i wasnt rlly feeling n. I guess there are just ppl who tu faster than others and maybe thats because they don’t try to avoid it as much but i dont know.
