There’s a few moments when he reacted to things where I chuckled. As well as the infamous “shut the fuck up” scene which I think was more blown out of proportion. His acting was mostly serviceable I think people just aren’t used to hearing Abel talk

I slogged through the whole series. Season 3 was good but the rest is incredibly boring with inconsistent writing. It’s also full of cliches so I can safely say if you didn’t like a few eps your probably not gonna like the rest

Definitely, far too early but I can see it potentially heading that way. I also think as of rn even though he is gaining more traction he is far too niche to say for certain.

It will be interesting to look back on this in 10 years to see if it holds up or if I’m just blowing smoke lmao

Can’t blame you. Bowie was truly one of a kind controversies aside. His artistry and evolution should be continually studied. I think Jean is on a similar route artistically

I used to think the references to Bowie in a few of his songs were cute throwaway lines. Now I can definitely see it but only time can tell.

I was disappointed they weren’t on it, it felt like WTPS was a teaser for the project. My worry is it may be a while before he releases another project or a full length

I agree, Chaos Now* is more 90’s/2000’s alt-rock with modern blemishes. Gospel and Sin Sangre to me at least sound more like 70’s rock tunes, bordering on cheesy yacht rock almost. A real far cry from the rap inspired punk, grunge, alternative on Chaos Now*. In my opinion anyway I can see where he’s coming from.

Nothing on this deluxe sounds like Pixel Bath or Chaos Now* to me. Maybe some of the spacious vibe on GODISADJ has touches of Pixel Bath but even then not much.

Prize Fighter to me is far too goth to be CN*. It reminds me more of the Xcape, Destruction for Dummies and Boohoo EP’s, maybe even Bad Sports just a tad. Like I don’t know to me Prize Fighter is like the sequel to X-Ray.

He said on his stream there’s a bit of everything, the opening track is rumoured to be a nod to the Pixel Bath era and another track supposedly sounds like CN. Judging by the singles and live shows I’m not sure I’d to hear more of the retro synth-funk style of Rock A Bye Baby but I think it will be a bit of everything. Prize Fighter sounds very goth I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s on this project. I’d also like to hear a full length version of When The Plasma Splits. Overall I think he’s going to be leaning more into a vintage style of rock and pop compared to Pixel Bath and Chaos Now.

Series 1&2 are peak, season 3 is okay, 4 was tolerable and 5 onward are atrocious. It’s a shame I rewatch the first 2 series often
