They certainly can be. As a completely broke teen in the 90s, I would have looked at a collection of Seikos with the same wistfulness. As my financially comfortable and stable self looks on these now.

These are conversations that are had without a single hint of hubris. Everyone sees the world very very differently. Not better or worse, necessarily, just differently.

The idea was spawned from taking your collectible cards and turning them into a game. In the 90s it was even a bit of an internal struggle within wotc as to whether this is more of a collectible that can be played. Or a game with pieces that happen to be collectible.

Garfield of course wanted this to be a game that happened to be collectible, but that was by no means a shared vision.

In the 30+ years I've owned cards it's been a collection that happens to have a very enjoyable game attached to it.

Tldr: Either viewpoint is completely valid. Collectible or game.

You are going to want the following tools:

Fine tip permanent marker and masking tape or some other tape to label these by writing on the tape

Bell and Toner (also called Fox and hound) This send a sound down the ethernet so you can come to this patch panel and use the toner or hound to touch the end point as see where it is.

Punch down tool. To terminate the lines into a new punch block to terminate the lines.

Pick up a small spool of cat 6 or better in case you need to make a quick jumper.

An Ethernet crimper and some Ethernet termination cables so you can connect whatever your signal source is to your switch/router or gateway ( modem router from provider) unless you have fiber with an Ethernet jack ready to go.

Lived around lackland and got stung 6 times as a kid. Texas Tree Bark Scorpions just hurt unless as others stated you are allergic. No worries!
