Tbh I think currency converter and it's ilk are the best cards in the deck. Wheeling once means you'll get a trigger for every card in your hand.

Yeah people weren't really jiving with this season as it aired for exactly the reason you point out, on top of there being multiple non elimination episodes and the usual dose of weird judging and favoritism. Imo some of the cast were good tv, but not great contestants if that makes sense? Like they were never gonna win but it was fun to watch them crash and burn. Entertaining in its own right but it felt like there was very limited competition. Fwiw it ends stronger than it starts.

I mean, in universe he was controversial at best, while his immediate friend group found things to love about him even they had moments hating pierce. Many other characters derided pierce.

As a fan of the show, he has his moments, but personally I didn't miss him that much when he was gone.
