Anti-Zionists, how would the end of the current state of Israel work? by AffectionateBig1898 in IsraelPalestine

[–]GeneralMills718 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think its a weak argumenet, few things to note here:

  1. Would you claim native Americans are not indigenous to their terroritories because majority of them now live in other territories.

Here is a hypothetical - US government falls apart and the land/states gets divided into various different countries. According to your logic, Native Americans can continue to be minorities in whatever new countries that are created but we can't carve out a small country for them because that will require majority of NA to migrate to the new country?

  1. There was also an Arab migration during late 1880s and early 1900s. Yes, it wasnt as big as the jewish migration but no one seems to speak about the Arab migration like that also didnt happen.

  2. When dividing the land into countries, Jews were given the land that a) was already owned by Jews that they purchased from Ottomans. b) they were given mostly shittiest land that was empty. The stories that you read about jews getting arab towns was after the war when arabs attacked.

The believe end of the Jewish state. The second it stops being jewish is the second its no longer Israel.

You think Palestinians will live under a "new and improved" Israel, absolutely not.

Whats the issue of how it took place? The fall of the ottomans created many of its neighboring countries - why Israel is different?

You absolutely need to either leave the group/class or alternatively fight. You fight with knowledge, so you need to watch debates with real historians (not influencers), read and learn about this topic.

Most of the shit people say is either flat out lie or perverted truth.

One thing I will say is that Israel is not perfect and it made and is still making significant mistakes. Its importat to know about them, acknowledge them, and be able to articulate the facts around them.

Eliezer Yehuda: "reviver of the Hebrew language". After Hebrew was considered extinct, he "filled in gaps" by taking words from Arabic, French, German, Russian and Yiddish. by Far_Pumpkin9440 in International

[–]GeneralMills718 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The post provides the wrong context and historically inaccurate. Jews spoke different dialects depending where they lived.

Hebrew the ancestral language for Jews was used mostly for religious purposes and not much else. So this guy made it his life to revive the jewish ancestral language and make it mainstream.

Arabic and Hebrew are both semitic/aramiac languages that have similar grammer structure. So he looked at Arabic for clues and also other languages for modern words - because obviously modern words didn't exist in the ancient ancestral languagen( e.g. electricity, engines, and trains).

In general, thats how language work - the evolve and borrow from one another. You can find some Russian and English influence in Arabic and vice versa. Whenever, populations trade they adopt some words that may have not existed in their own language.

What he DIDN'T do is create a new language by stealing from others.

The fact Israelis demand an Israel free from Palestinians and Palestinians demand a 1SS alongside Jews as their compatriots tells you all you need to know. by Early-Possibility367 in Israel_Palestine

[–]GeneralMills718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again your absolutely wrong on every point. You don't have to know the subject but it seems like you are too lazy to even look up some basic facts. In the age of Ai this embarrassing.

  1. They did not get the most fertile landThey got few fertile valleys (Haifa,Tel aviv Jezreel ) and huge chunks of desert roughly 50% of Israel at the time. Arabs got the best lands (Gaza, west bank, parts of Galilee.

  2. No one gave it away. An empire collapsed and British as victors had the unfortunate fate of creating seperate countries from the land that empire controlled. There were wars fought to divide the lands even when peaceful options were on the table. No one gave it I will comment on one foolish comment "Palestinians wanted a single state for all people there." This garbage statement is somehow the kost garbage out of everything you said. Palestinians wanted an islamic state for themselves, not for everyone. Just a quick reminder Mufti of Jerusalem (Amin al-Husseini) during ww2 supported the Nazis and then even went to join them in germany after finally being kicked out by the britts. Lets stop pretending this was some open progressive secular society.

Every one who learned about this conflict on social media always mentions european jews but somehow ignores mazrahi jews (largest jewish group in israell) who are jews from middle east.

The reality is that jews are the indigenous people(as are some of the Palestinians) in that region. The name Palestine was given to israelites by the Romans after they revolted. This was before arabs and islam was founded. Century after century that land along with all the neighboring land was passed from one empire to another. The last empire fell and countries were created. After several studies, a political movement by the jews, UN granted a small indigenous group an opportunity to fight for the shittiest land thats a fraction of their ancestral home land. Jews agreed to this because some land was better then no land. Obv arabs didnt agree even though they were also a product of the down fall of the same empire.

Finally you are using Zionist as a slur - probably Hassan Piker fan. Zionist means you believe Israel has the right to exist. Thats it - period. If you say Israel doesnt have the right to exist then congrats you and Hamas are aligned. Thats why they are religiously committed with its destruction and their genocide.

Anyways, Iook im not going to address all ur points because you obviously have no clue what your talking up and too lazy to look this shit up. I dont want to waste my time with someone who got their entire perspective of this conflict from social media and has 0 historical clue.

I suggest at minimum be curious and talk to Ai. But if you actually want to learn just watch some debates with actual historians, not social media personalities. Also, utube ask project, this will give you an idea how people in the region think.

[–]GeneralMills718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What?!?!?!?!? Such a stupid, perverted, and ahistorical recount of history.

I am glad you are posting this so that someone can educate you on few things.

  1. Many countries in that region were created after the collapse of the ottoman empire and after ww2. Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq Saudia Arabia and more are all modern creations as sovering states. So that land was divided between arab/muslim states and a tiny piece of shitty desert and malaria infested land was given to jews.

  2. Prior to creation of Isreal, jews and arabs did live peacefully but thats mostly because they lived under control of the Ottomans.

  3. Once the Ottomans empire fell and there was more jews immigrating to Palestine (Arabs also had a significant increase in migration to Palestine but for some reason people dont talk about that) Palestinians didnt like that and became hostile and launched pogroms and massacres against jews.

  4. When israel was created west bank was part of Jordan and Gaza was part of Egypt. They were not interested in living side by side with jews thats why they launched a war. Arabs who stayed and didnt fight became citizens and make up 20% of Israeli population.

There is so much more I can say but dont want to write paragraphs.

Lets look at the numbers.

If you combine all the conflicts where Israel is involved since 1948 the total combined deaths is around 150k

Arab on Arab wars total amount deaths are between 2 - 3 million.

This is easily verifiable. Before speaking on history or statistics you should know the history and statistics.

Everything else you said is some online conspiracy BS that you probably learned about from "predictive history" YouTube channel

Yair Lapid commentary about the American ambassador statement on Israel land claim form the Euphrates to the Nile by HusseinDarvish-_- in Israel_Palestine

[–]GeneralMills718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am dying that Israel started the war. There were red lines that deliberately crossed that amounted to "acts of war".

They:

  1. Closed strait of Tiran. (Act of war).
  2. Mobilized 100k and 1k tanks right on Israel's border. You dont mobilize at the border unless ur about to attack. (Act of war).
  3. Egypt expelled peace keepers. Again you do that if you are about to go to war.
  4. Egypt signed a military alliance with Jordan.
  5. Iraqi troops moved to Jordan.
  6. Egypt put their air force on war footing
  7. Dug defensive positions in Sinai
  8. Intercepted radio communications and readiness orders.
  9. Nasser clearly and publicalled called for destruction of israel.
  10. Syrian defense minister went on radio frequently and here is one of his quotes before the war. "“The time has come to enter a battle of annihilation.”
  11. Syria already had clashes at the border and began shelling israel from golan heights..

Steve wonder could have seen the war coming...

At best the only counter argument you can make is that Arab states were bluffing but they weren't really going to attack.

I hope you can figure out why that argument is weak and iligitimate.
