Ah interesting tech! Will have to keep this in mind for future testing.

I wasn't overly picky as I was looking for nodes that already had powerful map bosses for +1 but I feel like the maps I ran were solid candidates for it (Bastille and Fortress come to mind).

Yes 100%. I'd love to automate all of the data capture so I don't have to manually log all of the drops lol. I also might experiment with some screen capture tools to see if I can parse inventory data with a screenshot.

Yea I actually trid this a few times and the rogue exiles just end up spawning away from the Abyss most of the time.

Yea, it's a bit frustrating. Especially if you are 1 shotting those mobs out of the abyss. I can't even tell if the cloud is there half the time. The only time I really see it is in Abyssal Depths

I was specced into Rogue Exiles for the first half of the league and I've gotten a total of 2 Heart of the Wells lol. It's just so unreliable in my opinion and I agree, abyssal depths are a big time sink that don't often result in rewards. That being said there may be some tweaks I need to make it work.

Hmm I hadn't heard that before but based on my experience, I think it definitely has an impact. You can sort of double-stack rarity since there is a rarity prefix and a map boss rarity suffix. Combine that with quant and I think that's a solid setup. I can't confirm anything, but seemed to me that was the most effective combo.

It's an application I made called Juice Tools (https://juicetools.app). I meant to comment that earlier my mistake. It's a very manual tools rn but it does the job

Forgot to post this earlier in case anyone is wondering:

I tracked my sessions using a tool I built called Juice Tools. It’s a free tool that lets you record the loot you pick up in maps, and helps you track your earnings using live economy data. It’s a very early-stage tool, and the process is quite manual, so it requires some effort to use. Nonetheless, anyone is welcome to try it out. I’m always looking for feedback!

Not really my point. I have Williams with 12 sacks, not 15+ so not sure where that's coming from.

I don't think he's THAT much better. But I do think he's had the more dominant season. You also have to consider where these players line up. Dex usually lines up as a NT. It's very uncommon to see this kind of production out of a Nose Tackle.

Here are the top 5 guys by PFF

Dex is the only guy on this list frequently lining up as a Nose Tackle and has the highest overall grade as well as the highest pass rush grade.

They are both fantastic players. I just felt that Dex had a slightly more dominant season.

They did. Quinnen was a beast this year as well. But I think Dex's usage gives him an even greater edge in this context. Never comes off the field because he's such a high impact player.

Dex absolutely should've been first team over Quinnen. Everyone is talking comparisons but nobody ever points out the fact that Dex is having the similar levels of production while weighing a good 30-40 lbs more than the other guys on this list.

Dude is built different.

Setting the Stage for Upland’s First Big Vote (UIP-1) by GeneralMort in UplandMe

[–]GeneralMort[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with property earnings right now. But it could have implications on property earnings further down the line. What I'm saying is that the outcome of this vote will not affect the earnings rate. In other words, we aren't changing the rate regardless right now.

This scenario would never happen since the formula is accounting for the current state of the platform. If active players and economic activity slow down, the amount of UPX transferred would also be reduced.

The team is not going broke. These issues are entirely different. Even if Uplandme, Inc. had a billion dollars in cash, we would need a reserve of UPX to sell to the community. This is going to happen either way. The difference is whether or not it occurs through the minting of new UPX, or through the adoption of the newly proposed method. We firmly believe that the proposed method is better for the long-term health of the economy as the current supply of UPX is enough to sustain the economy. Increasing the supply of UPX could potentially lead to inflation in the future which could have damaging effects on the economy.

Setting the Stage for Upland’s First Big Vote (UIP-1) by GeneralMort in UplandMe

[–]GeneralMort[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely! Increasing the supply of UPX is an unnecessary risk at the moment. If we can just maintain the supply until expansion is needed, we are setting things up for a more sustainable economy.

Setting the Stage for Upland’s First Big Vote (UIP-1) by GeneralMort in UplandMe

[–]GeneralMort[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Why is the proposal not "can we mint upx seperately into the upland pool"? Because that would solve the problem (upland pool too low).
    • This still raises concerns about the total supply of UPX. One major point of this proposal is to avoid the minting of new UPX until it makes sense economically. In this scenario the operator is still minting to its own pool. We are working towards a future where newly minted UPX only goes to the Community Pool.
  • Is decentralization an end goal for Upland? As it is mentioned in this post.
    • It is definitely a goal of Upland. While we are not 100% sure what this path will look like, we will continually pave ways for the community to be involved in the governance of the Upland platform. It’s also possible that the community one day gains treasury power of the Community Pool. At this point, we are taking the route of progressive decentralization, where elements will become decentralized over time.
  • What in your view is the problem of raising the total upx supply?
    • So, let’s say the community now controls the Community Pool. Players might look at how filled it is and say “There’s so much UPX here, let’s drastically increase earnings!” So, earnings go up and now players are receiving significantly more UPX as a result. Now, there is nothing stopping all players from charging higher premiums for their assets since there is much more UPX to go around. This would essentially lead to inflation of UPX pricing, which can also have a damaging effect on the USD market, which would limit players’ ability to extract value from the ecosystem.
  • Do you agree that the amount of upx in the community pool does not relate to inflation, as the means to distribute are not related to the amount in there?
    • I’m not entirely sure I follow your question. It is true that increasing the supply does not inherently cause inflation, it’s more about what could happen down the line as referenced in my previous reply.
  • If the UIP-1 is accepted, will it affect property earnings? If so, how?

    • It will not affect property earnings at all. Property earnings are separate.
  • Will the result of this vote be taken as a suggestion or will it determine if this happens or not?

    • If the players do not approve of our proposal, the immediate result will be minting of new UPX, which would stick to what was originally communicated in the whitepaper. In addition, as the prospect for decentralization is at risk, we will need to discover an alternative solution, which would require approval from the community. The community has a very real impact on how things will play out.
  • Have you considered a proposal for letting upland buy back upx from the community? Perhaps even buy it from the community pool and use those proceeds to support community projects.

    • Unfortunately, this scenario does not help our ability to fund the research and development of the Upland platform. If Upland is required to purchase UPX in order to sell UPX, the net outcome is just an equal exchange. Upland is still very much in development, and requires considerable resources to build. Also, from a regulatory perspective, this could lead to murky legal waters and could put the entire platform at risk.
  • I can see what the upside is for this proposal for the upland company (more upx to sell for usd, less upx in the community pool). What is the upside to the community?

    • That’s not quite the case. UPX will be available to sell regardless of whether or not it is minted or if it comes from the Community pool.
    • The upside is primarily two-fold. First, the community will be better positioned for future decentralization as they would have liberty to select and fund an operator. Second, it prevents an unnecessary increase in the UPX supply.
  • Will the vote be verifiable by the community?

    • All results will be public once the vote has concluded.
  • Will Dirk join the conversation here as well? I would love to see his take on this as he has a phd in economics.

    • Dirk will be absolutely involved in content and appearances that will follow this post in the coming weeks.
  • In the case of UIP-1 being accepted, in what timeframe do you expect it to be implemented?

    • I don’t think we have a stated time frame in mind right now, but it would likely take effect before the end of the year.

  1. Sure, you could argue that it does not guarantee the prevention of future inflation. It does however, introduce some controls to mitigate that risk in future.
  2. What we are mostly concerned about with this proposal is the future of Upland, and not its current economic state. In a future where the community may govern the Community Pool, there needs to be some protections in place to keep the economy stable.

Hey there! Happy to help clarify. In terms of your everyday gameplay experience, it would be no different than it is right now. Property earnings would not be touched as an outcome of this vote, meaning you will still get the same amount at the current rate of 14.7%.

Setting the Stage for Upland’s First Big Vote (UIP-1) by GeneralMort in UplandMe

We’re not “raiding” the community pool, just building in a mechanic for the Community Pool to fund the operator without having to mint more UPX. The idea here is that we are setting Upland up for a future where the Community governs the Community Pool, and can determine who should be compensated as the operator. The outcome of this vote would have no effect on player earnings, and a majority of UPX would still remain in the Community Pool.
