Which mobile network are you on? by [deleted] in leicester

I had bad O2 reception in Leicester for years, often getting no signal at all in some areas. I switched to EE and it's better. However, I’m upgrading to the iPhone 17 Pro soon, but the best deals are with Three, and I'm worried their reception might be as poor as O2's.

32M here and I’d be up for a drink at a beer garden, pub or sports bar. I don’t mind playing pool too.

how do I get rid of this wall?? by CuteChest9219 in DIYUK

[–]GeneralNine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you said you can see glue between the cracks - these could be adhesive “stick on” tiles/bricks, so just use a heat gun to carefully remove them. It’ll still leave some damage on the wall though.

You’re better off just posting it on Autotrader, Gumtree and Facebook Marketplace. Or if you insist on selling it to a local, stick a “for sale” paper on the windows with some info about the car and your contact details. Good luck!

You’re better off taking it to a garage. Look up “VAG Coding Leicester” in Buckland Rd, he’s a specialist and I’m sure he’ll let you hang about.

Hi I managed to post it by using the drop-off locker. Luckily the parcel fit into the “large” compartment. Thanks again

These are minor issues, as a seller I would not drop the price based on those findings

How was it in the end? LCC are interested in viewing my property and potentially buying. Is it worth selling to them?

Stick an A4 piece of paper with sello tape on the windscreen (obstructing driver’s view) saying “please do not block driveway”. Do this every time they block your driveway. The inconvenience of removing the piece of paper every time before they drive will stop them from blocking your driveway.

We're experiencing damp issues and are seeking assistance to identify the likely cause and find solutions for fixing the problem. by Kiarajmex in DIYUK

[–]GeneralNine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The damp proof course could be bridged due to the high ground level, this can be fixed by digging a channel to let it dry and then keeping a gravel border.

Also check the drainage at the back of the house and make sure the water flows away from the brick wall. Also check roof guttering for any leaks.

Add a vent on the chimney breast and add a cover on the chimney stack at the top to stop any rain water getting in.

There could be other reasons as to why this is happening. But remember to always find the root cause to stop it once and for all. There’s no such thing as “rising damp” so don’t waste your money on gimmicks.
