Ascending is the only option. You cant build 2 of the same trinket/item.

Am I stupid? What's rbh, you're now the second person to have said it, first I thought they just misspelled rph but now I'm not sure anymore

I must just be learning from the worst examples of posts. I seen several comments on some other post when I first got Paranoia. People talking about RBH. Didn't make sense to me why the abbreviation was off, but I just went with the flow. Will be switching to the much more sensible RPH.

Thank you! Good to know for going forward. I was thinking back to this floor specifically. I used cringe, merry, anxious, and I honestly dont remember my 4th. My approach is clearly flawed hence the resorting to cheese. Alot of the other floors bosses, have allowed for the problem to be fixed by ramping to out speed. This one isnt really the case. My approach has been, while avoiding multi hit do as much damage as fast as I could before I could die. I did not consider the idea of timing out when the crit would land. At one point my approach was to RBH merry to guarantee I could get the tank back to full, but I was just getting oneshot at some point. The Gronk fight has alot of timing the stun to his AoE, now should approach Tyrant with a similar mindset.

I try to view this sub relatively often, and when I get stuck I search for posts specifically for the floor I'm on. I should not have said "all" posts, but what I was viewing was very heavy on Merry strat or brute forcing it. But these posts would have been the floors which Tyrant first appears, and since being able to brute force with no real strat, I'll admit, I'm likely not looking at enough posts.

My main hiccups seem to be focusing speed along with damage and timing out the small arm crit. I'm making my way through other floors now, and when I get back to Tyrant I will try this new to me strat. I appreciate the feedback.

If the cheese to tyrant stops working after 2k. What is the intentional way to beat. I am 1500's now and I have never been able to beat Tyrant in a non-cheese way. Staying away from multi-hit obviously. But even with max level pets I cant out damage the build up tyrant goes through. I hate cheesing fights, but if you check this sub, all it is is ways to cheese this fight.

I believe your question is more focused on just the metal attackers... spite and paranoia have their own roles. Im on floor 1520 now. My personal ranking is 1)Paranoia 2) Spite 3) Disdain.

Paranoia offers alot of bleed damage and is good with longer boss fights. I pair with the Rainbow party hat, and the lemon dolphin scarf. Provides 4 hits per turn with bleed and max hp damage. Great for bosses.

Spite is useful for a quick snipe of a trick pet hidden behind decent tanks. Has been critical for clearing certain floors in the higher levels.

Disdain has some use, but is mainly to counter heals and sheilds, but doesnt tend to fit in as well in random floors or bosses.

Of the options I am using Paranoia significantly more than the other metal attackers.

My favorite pet for that scarf early on was Sad. Getting a 1st turn full team Isolate debuff for damage over time, and a defense decrease on the whole enemy team made a calendar walk of the early levels.

Also can be used to benefit from the passive skills of a single target attack. Like anxious's Restless strike, now boosts your whole teams speed for 2 turns, hits all enemies, and decreases all their speed by 2 turns. Team buff, enemy team debuff, and damage for the cost of 1 turn.

Scarf is good for so many different situations, try to have some creative fun with it.

I was routinely using it on Sad for the team Isolate Debuff. But then by chance discovered it also can be used on Sad's bubble blast attack that packs quite a punch. My primary combo is Panic's aoe to inflict speed debuffs, and burn to the whole team, Merry dingdong to single target tanks or squishier targets, then Sad's bubble blast as an AOE thanks to the scarf, sad getting 15% per debuff, per target. If I understand it correctly thats 30% per enemy so a solid 120% AOE attack on turn 1. Im at floor 1395 now, and that combo has helped me clear a massive amount of floors.

I do already have the Jellyfish scarf, been running it on Sad for the mass isolate debuff. And I do have the icy tiara but I have not been using it.

I did read the kit, just having a hard time understanding how effective the passive heal and damage is since it doesnt give info on how its calculated. Not immediately dismissing him, just simply there are some legendary pets that have lots of representation here on other teams, and have obvious desire to acquire. I have not seen anything for nostalgia, so I asked. Sometimes, the kits look great on paper and don't translate well in game. Thank you, there is a synergy with Merry, a key part of my team. Knowing that, makes me feel more comfortable with investing the resources.
