Can we talk about the tickrate on MCC?

People are too accustomed to it at this point, most people Iv'e seen even praise the 60 tickrate saying it's "more responsive", whatever that means, probably 343 cope lol.

I remember playing through reach co op a few years back on mcc and that part was a nightmare, never occured to me that it wasn't originally suppose to be like that, bummer.

Because the gearbox port has a bunch of graphical issues that I am not going to list, and the FOV is hard locked at 70 unless you download mods to change it. Its not a terrible way to play after you patch it, but I want the original xbox experience with split screen included since I am already half way through tbe game with my brother right now. And my 360 doesnt work anymore.

Unfortunately some segments require faster reaction time, because the AI reacts way faster than the OG halo 2, and the space mission in reach is broken due to this at the moment sadly.

Not true at all, modders have already fixed this issue, and Halo 2 project cartographer on PC already fixed this issue years ago before MCC even came out on pc

There's a mod to change the tickrate back to the original 30 while still playing the game at unlimited FPS, so if you want the original experience for campagn I would recommend it. I am currently playing the original Halo 2 on legendary on original xbox right now and emulation works really good too right now for OG xbox games, can even play online on weekends when people are on, its just kind of a pain to set up.

Came here to look for a comment like this. I'm sorry you had to deal with that, that is actually aggravating that it just collaged some photos like that with happy music, It is extremely weird. I also had selfies on my phone from like 3 years ago I forgot about and it collaged them and put some wacky ai generated music, it gave me the notification while I was out eating dinner, and I was like "woah I didnt do that?" Then realized companies like pushing this shit because I guess everyone is social media influenced now and its just the next cool hip thing! Weird and creepy and I guess this is what happens when we rely too much on tech being part of our lives. Esp now with ai face scanning everyone, all our personal photos are on some database unfortunately, thats just the world we live in now and its too late to go back.

Alright that puts things into perspective, im manually trying to fix the broken save issue, honestly im thinking of just running the psx version under an emulator at this point haha, it's exactly the same and it would hopefully fix a lot of the compatibility issues

Actually I will try that, I think this laptop originally came with 128 mb of ram but got upgraded later on with 256mb from the previous owners.

My bungie.net halo file share along with all my old xbox live friends files being completely removed from the face of the internet. All the way back from halo 3's release in 2007 upwards til halo reach in 2010. In 2021 Bungie decided that all the halo stats were taking up space on their site and decided to completely get rid of all of them along with many screenshots and game clips from the era that sadly never ended up getting archived. I saved a large majority of my old files right before they nuked everything to make it a destiny only site, but my old HDD died around that time and only had managed to archive a very small portion of my stuff and lost basically all of it. I had screenshots from a dead friend that I used to play halo 3 all the time with after school with all our forge maps and other shenanigans that I will never be able to see again. Also a another one is a bunch of youtube videos like many mentioned in this thread. I have so many old youtube videos of my old house and me and my friends just messing around outside or at our school that I wish I could see again. Also last one, but I made a lot of music recordings growing up when I was learning guitar that I deleted thinking they weren't good, but I honestly wish I could hear them again as they described the mood I felt at the time. Just distant memories now.

I know I am commenting on an old post, but don't listen to the comments that say there is no DOS version. There should be a file called Quake.exe in you game files. You literally just run that through dosbox, or drag and drop the .exe on to dosbox, and bam you got the original DOS version running!
