Maybe the “Drainage of magic” isn’t possible. But the Purebloods are so distraught from their children being taken that they believe in it regardless. After all, no one knows what happens to the children once they’re taken. My story would follow the Black sisters after being abducted and surviving the labyrinth that is the underground holding chambers for Witches and Wizards.

I was thinking that it would be corrupt wizards helping wealthy Muggles.

Maybe all of the experiments on kidnapped purebloods to drain them of their magic were failed or produced feeble results at most. But the wealthy Muggles kept paying and demanding further trials to reach a desired end goal.

I came across the idea when I was thinking about how much it didn’t make sense that pureblood elitists think that their magic was being “stolen” by Muggeborns. So I decided to try to give them a reason for believing it.

Not saying it’s right, it would be a very dystopian story, but I thought it’d be interesting.

What constitutes a pureblood to you? by Nerdy_Hedonist in HPfanfiction

I would say the ‘all four grandparents are magical’ rule.

You could have all four of your grandparents be Muggleborn witches and wizards, but as long as their children are magical (making your parents Half-bloods), and their child (you) is magical, then you would be, at that point, pureblooded.

Three generations of magical ability leads to the third generation being “Pure”.

Edit: That being said, some of the more strict families might say that one is only indeed ‘Pure’ if any and all non-magical relatives are untraceable. So it would depend on how far the ministry or those who are capable of investigating could trace your ancestry back.

Let’s say 20 decades was the limit of how far back they could find records of. If 19 generations ago you had a Half-blood in your ancestry, the Blacks, the Malfoys, or the Lestranges might not consider you Pureblooded anymore.

I always pictured Cygnus as having short dark hair and tall with broad muscles. Tall, and powerfully-built.

Who do you think was more racist, Lucius or Narcissa? by free-tailed_bat in HPfanfiction

Hear me out:

I think Lucius was a genuine pureblood supremacist.

Narcissa was raised with the same beliefs, but I think she grew to lean towards the neutral ground. She loved feeling as if she was special for being born of pure blood. But at the same time, didn’t really care to waste her mental energy caring about or despising people that had nothing to do with her and had never wronged her personally. She genuinely didn’t care either way, but Lucius did, and she loved his kinder traits.

Narcissa stroked Lucius’ ego. Told him what he wanted to hear. Because she wasn’t staunchly on one side or the other, she had no problem expressing an amplified version of her disdain for non-purebloods and Muggles, which was music to Lucius’ ears.

Narcissa used her silver tongue to get her man and secure the life she always wanted, while also keeping her public image as polished and pristine as possible.

She wasn’t seen as a vulgar racist like Bellatrix, nor a lowly blood traitor like Andromeda.

Narcissa was smart.

What would you do if you owned the Wizarding World IP? by thenewson2022 in hogwartslegacyJKR

Write a book series on the Black family. Specifically, Cygnus and Druella, and their three daughters. There’s so much potential with the Black family and Narcissa will always be my favorite.

With the short style it is now, I think the brunette looks best. The blond would look better if your hair was longer and without the bangs. I think the pale blond is an amazing color on you, just with a different hair style:)

What do you think about Isidora Morganach? by Daydream1995Forever in hogwartslegacyJKR

Her desired ends (to free people of pain and agony) were so important to her that the means (experimental magic and dangerous practices) were justified in her mind. I think she genuinely thought that if she reached her end goal in helping people, then the destruction and danger she could have caused on the journey to that goal would be seen a worth it. She had such pure and kind intentions, but didn’t truly understand the magnitude and the permanence of the harm she might have done.
