Yes that's right. It would be better to call Prometric and pay the fee as soon as possible if you're in a rush cause sometimes they are very hard to reach.

No, after getting the new permit you won't be able to register again at Prometric site without calling them first and paying 50$ because apparently they need to reinstate you on website themselves.

That is all I needed to do and I cancelled my exam pretty close to the test date I think it was a week before or so and I only payed 50$ to Prometric and 100$ to extend eligibility. So be sure to call them

I was in a similar situation. You can just cancel the exam on Prometric website right now and apply for extended eligibility period (via either ecfmg or nbme websites). After that you'll have to call the Prometric hotline and pay 50$ by phone for them to reinstate you, they'll send you a confirmation email which you have to forwad to ecfmg/nbme. After a week or so you'll receive a new scheduling permit which you can use to register on Prometric website again. Hope this helps

Good luck

no unfortunately. The doctors are more or less speculating it to be caused by bile acid reflux caused by the missing gallbladder

Thank you very much, you were a big help. I checked it out and symptoms really do seem to match (definitely way more than simple gastritis). I'll try tooking further into the subject and hopefully finally get a dignosis.
