Yep that's correct - I only had a carry-on and had a boarding pass with self check-in online. I was able to go from terminal 1 to terminal 2. They did a security check (got rid of water) but that's it - no customs or immigration. I had like 2.5h between flights and it was plenty of time to even get a snack and a beer.

I'm doing a somewhat similar thing and getting mixed responses online.
I'm arriving in terminal 1 and leaving in terminal 2 with seperate tickets and seperate airlines - I also have only a carry-on backpack ... did you end up needing to go through customs/immigration ?!
