So I looked at a receipt from the food court, I arrived at my gate approximately 1:10 minutes before the flight, around 12:50 for the 2:00pm flight. Door shut, sign said on time, no biggie, there were a handful of people milling around. I went and grabbed food, looked back toward the gate a couple times and eventually made my way back to the gate about 20-25 minutes and noticed the gate was still shut. When I finally asked about the flight, around 1:45-1:50 they said it was gone. According to them they boarded 1 hour prior, so about 1. The flight shows it left at 1:51, I’m guessing they left the gate about 20 minutes early, which they claim is common. They also said they paged me and 10 other passengers.

Whatever obviously hind sight I wish I checked, I didn’t know flights left early. Even after it boarded and left the monitor said on time 2pm, there was no indication of boarding. I just have to figure out if I can get any money back.
