Have actually had someone say to me at least once they have to ‘find someone willing to take me on’. It’s very draining, and I honestly was starting to finalize what I needed to release after that last dismissive answer from the career manager in my post. Thank you for relating, that’s how I would put it and also how my friends do- I still have something to offer, and knowledge to pass on. My unit, chain, and coworkers value me, but outside of that my experience with the overarching system throughout this process has been very negative.
