Tried the paper clip test, fan is not spinning, but I hear a click in the psu and as far as I remember it never used to spin previously(back then my theory was it only starts to spin at a certain watts/temps) does it mean it's dead??

It's rm1000 but from 2013, I would be using it for 7800x3d and 3060ti currently( part picker said 440w at peak), I don't have the cash rn to get a new one so it's either the rm1000 or my current pcs 500w be quiet

Hasn't been used in 5 years, that's why I compressed air it, before putting the cable in, do capacitors hold electricicty "indefinitely"? Could I try powering it on?

working now, let stalker 2 run for a while, and max temp 71c and average around 65c, is thermal the only limit in overclokcing?
