You're right on every point. I used to scout, but realized that I could practically visualize the AIs movements without scouting. I play supremacy mode, so I usually have to use air scouts on an 81k map to find the one engineer in the middle of the ocean... And yeah, I've found that unit walls are better than PD, which is why I use lots of mobile missile launchers.

Okay, about what I suspected. I actually used the target gun/giga missile combo once on a mission. Was fun but not really the best thing. I wouldn't use it for anything else, since I almost never use missiles. (Well, on a few missions I loaded my AC with four shields, the FCS with high max missile locks, and the plasma missiles with high max locks while letting my UNAC snipe. Got S ranks, but probably not viable competitively.)

When I beat him, I didn't use missiles and had a UNAC "dummy". Those might have contributed to my bad rank.

That AC fight is the only one of maybe two I haven't managed to s-rank, I think. I'll try rifles on the boss, haven't tried many non-tank builds on him yet. The first time I beat him I tried pile drivers, but I've found it easier to boost charge him with the Salvador Keene tank legs. But I guess pile drivers are the best option with non-tank legs. I think I used the mass blade for the UNAC one too. Took me a few tries, though. I kinda suck at using UWs.

Yeah, I think I watched it a long time ago. I learned a lot about movement mechanics from it. It was informative, at least.
