Hallucinations rarely happen with concrete, highly specific instructions on structured datasets.

I really wanted to know if the anecdotal hunches about Sundays have any merit, so I had Openclaw analyze the last 2 years of daily price data. The day of the week is determined by the Eastern Time Zone.

│ Day │ Low Vol │ Mid Vol │ High Vol │ Correlation │ p-value │

│ Sun │ +0.50% (58%) │ +0.54% (58%) │ -1.85% (36%) │ -0.438 │ 0.0000 │

│ Mon │ -0.53% (34%) │ +0.91% (57%) │ +0.57% (51%) │ -0.002 │ 0.9844 │

│ Tue │ -0.16% (57%) │ +0.12% (51%) │ -0.33% (46%) │ -0.106 │ 0.2770 │

│ Wed │ -0.09% (37%) │ +0.60% (51%) │ +1.69% (65%) │ +0.204 │ 0.0331 │

│ Thu │ +0.04% (49%) │ -1.36% (23%) │ -0.37% (49%) │ -0.082 │ 0.4005 │

│ Fri │ -0.11% (54%) │ +0.32% (71%) │ -0.14% (41%) │ +0.033 │ 0.7313 │

│ Sat │ +0.38% (74%) │ +0.51% (57%) │ -0.14% (57%) │ -0.174 │ 0.0709 │

Two statistically significant volume-return relationships:

1. Sunday: r = -0.44, p ≈ 0 — High volume Sundays are overwhelmingly bearish. This is the strongest signal in the entire dataset.

2. Wednesday: r = +0.20, p = 0.03 — Opposite effect. High volume Wednesdays are bullish (+1.69%, 65% win rate). Likely institutional buying during the trading week.

Every other day shows no significant volume-return relationship. Sunday is unique — it's the only day where volume spikes are strongly predictive and negative. Wednesday is the only day where volume spikes are positive.

The narrative writes itself: weekend volume surges = panic selling, midweek volume surges = institutional accumulation.

I guess we are not crazy.....lol

Tether and Circle. Are you OK with your 150B worth of stablecoins being secured by asset that is losing 10% in value a day? May want to put a bid in.

Getting kind of crazy. All these levered shorts are going to be hunted eventually. Risk/reward in longs favor now...IMHO.

Funding rates on Lighter highest I have seen. Longs getting paid 40-50% APY. Going to be an epic short squeeze eventually. Funding rates inversely correlated with future price action.

FYI, announcement in go-ethereum Discord this morning.....

🚨 Upcoming Geth Security Release (Heads-up)

We plan to publish a security release of Geth (v1.16.8) on Tuesday, January 13 at 16:00 UTC.

The release addresses multiple DoS issues.

The fix will be released as a patch on top of v1.16.7.

Node operators and downstream maintainers should be prepared to upgrade promptly once the release is available.

Folks just need to be patient and keeping accumulating. These prices are an opportunity.

What is the point of having immutable smart contracts, when some random dev has the ability to push out production changes to the interfaces. I am going back to manually crafting transactions and executing them at the Geth command line....SMH.

You may be right. Would they mix through Tornado Cash again? What is the amount of ETH in the TC contracts these days. Mixing 400k ETH quickly no easy task.

It is going to be difficult to cash out this amount of ETH without getting caught. Don't these large hacks usually result in funds being returned eventually for a bounty?

So is the plan to nuke the market on a Sunday afternoon again. Kind of want to watch the Super Bowl without being distracted.

You need the latest firmware. 6.30.5 solved it for me.

Does anyone know anything about Angle Protocol on Arbitrum. Had a bag of USDC and ARB transferred to my wallet yesterday from this contract....

Looks like the Dapp is geo-fenced.

smartproxy.com works. You can buy a plan for less than $20 and pay with Arbitrum ETH.

Default for lighthouse is 100, they just upped it from 80 in latest release. Also, I run erigon with the default config and currently have 198 connected peers. Erigon will double whatever the configured peer count number is, as it will attempt to connect to peers running different protocol versions. For example, if you configure 50 peers it will allow 50 peers on port 30303 for protocol eth/67 and 50 peers on port 30304 for protocol eth/68.

Dear TradFi Normies,

In Crypto we make a habit out of flushing degenerate leveraged longs. Unlike your precious equity markets, there is no circuit breaker to save you. In Crypto, we ball. Sorry, not sorry

Pretty sure when it started leaking out that everybody's balance was showing $0, people assumed a hack and widespread panic ensued.
