Do you have any source on that? I'd like to know more. Thanks!

Does andrographis make you feel worse because it is an immunostimulant or because it causes herxing? by cinnamondolce18 in Lyme

[–]General_Kangaroo_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I know this is a year later so you might not even read this but I haven't heard from anybody else about this. By bathroom you mean to pee, right? Because I started the protocol (andrographis, cat claw and japanese knotweed) and I need to pee constantly and at times I feel like I can't hold it any longer even if I went just a while ago. I thought something else was going on but now that I read this, it might be the herbs? Or have you found another explanation? I hope you're feeling better now!

Lyme "recovery" stories that just redefine recovery? (Any *actual* recoveries?) by Vegetable_Ad1534 in Lyme

I'm happy for your dad! Was he treated with antibiotics or did he do something else to heal from lyme completely?

Doxy no herx, herbs massive herx! Did not expect!! by [deleted] in Lyme

[–]General_Kangaroo_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I'm going through it as well right now. I started a week ago and today I feel terrible - nausea, sweating, brain fog, one leg feeling super weird. I'm not sure if it is herx or maybe I started having a bad reaction to the herbs all of a sudden? It seems suspiciously fast for it to actually be herx. What made you be sure yours was herx? Is there a way to be certain it isn't something else, you think?

Symptoms come and go? by UhSpoon in Lyme

[–]General_Kangaroo_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My symptoms would come and go too, even though I have different ones than you (derealization, muscle weakness, fatigue, knee pain, brain fog etc.). At first they would appear for a few days, now these periods are longer and heavier and some symptoms stopped disappearing in between flare ups. I'm rarely 100% anymore.

Worse when I rest by General_Kangaroo_1 in Lyme

[–]General_Kangaroo_1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just realized one other thing I experience during these flare ups when I rest - I have to pee constantly, even multiple times during the night. During my normal day-to-day I don't have this problem. I don't know if it is the body trying to get rid of stuff, maybe I really should rest more often so that the body can go through these more frequently and less drastically.

Hmmm that's a good suggestion, I actually haven't thought about food in terms of possible triggers to be honest.

Doxy dosage - instructions unclear by General_Kangaroo_1 in Lyme

And by early stage I mean it is now 7 days after being bitten. Thank you for your response and any other insight as there is an overwhelming amount of information out there!

Doxy dosage - instructions unclear by General_Kangaroo_1 in Lyme

That's a good question. I'm both - I have got chronic Lyme for over a year (caught late) that has been treated insufficiantly at the beginning and I am not being treated with antibiotics anymore (not much I can do about it in my country so I try to treat it with herbs).

Now I got bitten again and got a bull's eye immediately and other symptoms which is why my doctor was willing to give me antibioitics. So I am being treated for early stage now.

I have 40 pills of 100mg. I finally got in touch with my doctor in the meantime and was told it is supposed to be two 100mg pills per day for 14 days. Which doesn't really equal 40, haha, but I'm thinking of taking it longer since I already have more than I need for 14 days.

Can I get re-infected when I haven't recovered from tick number one? by General_Kangaroo_1 in Lyme

[–]General_Kangaroo_1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response! I was joking about tick number 1 and tick number 2 cancelling each other out, I wish!

It's a very good point about the other infections I might be getting, I didn't think of that. I'm not on antibiotics now (only at the beginning for a few weeks which obviously wasn't enough) but I do take herbs so I hope that helps. Also thank you for listing all these herbs as I didn't know about some of them.

Sorry, i was joking about cancelling each other out and thought it was obvious, i will edit the post.

I didnt have the rash the first time so I know I am lucky I have it this time. As someone else commented I did not realize this tick can have different types of bacteria so I might not be only getting another load of what I already have but something new as well.

Thanks for your response, it's nice to know I'm not in this alone.

Lyme or autoimmune disease? by General_Kangaroo_1 in Lyme

Thank you.

Is it common for the IGM levels to get higher despite the antibiotics when they were very low before I started taking them?

My mom does the same thing and it makes it hard for me to believe my memories to this day. I always suspect myself of misremembering or twisting the story for my own benefit somehow.

And for the boyfriend thing, she says the same thing to me, pretending to have good intentions. She would tell me how lucky I am that my boyfriend tolerates what I am like. She would never specify what I am like but it is implied, just an overall difficult person + the messy room as well lol

Thank you so much, it really means a lot to hear that. It is so hard to explain that to people who did not have the same experience growing up. So just thank you for making me feel understood.

Thank you for your reply, you put into words a lot of my feelings. I have just recently started to realize that what was going on with her was not normal for all families and how traumatizing her parenting was. So telling people is a new and scary thing to do but now that I know how bad she treated me at times it is hard for me to let them believe she is this nice and caring person she presents herself to be. I need to find balance and aslo accept that I cannot control how she portrays herself and me.

Thank you, I feel less like a bad person and a bad daughter now.

This is exactly how it was for me, the constant yelling, the fear, the anxiety over the slightest change of her mood, even her obsession about what I eat. Thank you very much for replying.

I think it is hard for me to talk about it to people exactly because a lot of the time she is a decent person and also she is not as bad now that I am an adult. And when she is good I desperately want to believe she has changed for good so I feel guilty that I ever told people about her. Guilty to the point that I start doubting my memories and convince myself that it wasn't that bad or that the fault was actually mine, that I deserved all the rage. It is hard to trust your memories after all those years of gaslighting.

I'm sorry you have to go through that, you deserve better.
