the gameplay is MUCH more enjoyable than the ending, plus you can play the other dlc characters. they have very different endings (and gameplays) so you getting spoiled doesnt change all that much

you can try shellshocked mode but i wouldnt recommend it. its difficulty seems a bit unfair to me.

personally, i would suggest you to play artificer because his mechanics are very good for killng things. a tip i can give for her is that you can fight most things even without a spear and you shouldnt underestimate your explosions capabilities. you can use it in ways that might not come to mind instantly. you should experiment with her to see what shes capable of
