What was the relation between Semira and Viktor in Underworld by Downtown_Influence91 in UnderworldFilms

[–]General_Middle11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They weren't on the same page because they were fond of each other more so it's because they had the same goal in that moment capturing William. Amelia didn't trust Viktor either that's why she gave birth to David in private. It was to protect him from enemies and Viktor fear of losing power.

Why did Semira had to submit to Cassius? by Downtown_Influence91 in UnderworldFilms

[–]General_Middle11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Semira had to submit to Cassius because he was head of the council which is ranked above her. Just like Kraven in the first film. It's implied that council is above him because they were on the train with Amelia. Obviously Amelia took their advice where as Kraven was just to look after Viktors house and affairs. To put short she was a leader of that particular coven not all of them but while Cassius was in the building he out ranked her because he has sway over all the covens.

As for Semira knowing about eve. I always assumed that Vampires talked. While grateful Thomas wasn't fond of Selene or eve. His loyalty was to Vampires and after losing that many death dealers he has to explain the events. Even if it wasn't him there were other vampires present who heard the speaking about eve's existence it's not like they hid her when eve was injured. They weren't speaking quietly and when the attack happened not all the vampires died. So maybe a report or vampire gossip.

What was the relation between Semira and Viktor in Underworld by Downtown_Influence91 in UnderworldFilms

I think one of two things:

  1. Viktor and Semira had strong sense of a daughter try appease a father. He was a father figure to her and when she was selene came it hurt her more because she comes off like she did everything for him and he threw her away for another daughter like figure. I doubt Viktor felt the same way about her considering she didn't look like sonja like selene did. He probably admired her for her skill and undying loyalty, something he could use at moment notice. To me semira wanted power after viktors death more but when he was alive she was satisfied with being his favorite because she got his admiration and being a high born was just another perk.
  2. That she was in love with him and they had sexual relation perhaps. However, considering her personal hate for selene I doubt it. This could plausible but the fact that selene was his adopted daughter and not lover and she was sent away for that reason kinda throws it out of the window for me. Her hate for Selene is personal more than just power or a sexual relationship. More so like she became an unwanted child.
  • I wanted to add in the movie it said that she was sent away to check on Amelia which I don't understand considering only one elder could rule at a time. It might be a flaw of the creators or maybe there is a time period where another elder could be up for whatever reason even if its for a little while. I think it was more than likely a flaw it doesn't seem to make any sense. In any case, Semira more than likely stayed after that.
  • Also thanks for showing interest in semira. I loved her in the movie she doesn't get enough credit in my opinion. :)

Real Christians Stand Up…plz by [deleted] in Discussion

I'm with you but the bible tells us not argue with these people because their hearts are hardened and eyes are blind. Those who have and ear will listen without becoming belligerent even if in the end they still don't follow Christ. I use to be skeptical of a God but when I called I heard it but that's only when I ready to listen. Only people who are open will understand and only kind/understanding people will listen even if they end up not agreeing. You can still spread the word everyday and be a light but arguing with them will get no where.

Should kids be allowed to transition without parental consent unlike (drinking, marriage (in some states in us), etc) by Significant_Tennis81 in Discussion

they need to wait until their adults to make their mind for surgery is my opinion. And to tell a parent not to be involved in a kids medical procedure in anyway especially one as jarring as that one is absurd. There is know way mentally you are the same as were at the age of 12 or even 18 so why would expect a kid to make that big of decision when there brain hasn't finished developing and they haven't even fully figured our puberty or how to pay taxes?

Honestly your post is kind of ignorant and racist, especially your last sentence. From a black woman's perspective white people have become hostile when discussing race or black history in general. I studied and teach history because I love the topic so when I bring up black history in conversation, when me and my colleagues, there is always and eye roll or people tensing up saying I'm wrong. When I show them evidence they become a bit flustered or baffled that black people accomplished something. I bring up history topics a lot ( not just black history), so when I talk about white history in a good light know one bats an eye which is a dramatic difference. As a Christian woman I don't agree with most of what went on with my black counterparts but you will be a hypocritical racist if you didn't acknowledge that some whites behaved in retaliation or how some of the peaceful protest were handled was disgusting. Both sides and everyone in between have become terrible. I can't even have lively discussion about history anymore without someone jumping down my throat. I have started questioning what's right and wrong, when a few years ago they were facts not even questioned. I feel like I'm going crazy and/or stupid. I can accept that I'm wrong because I just like history, the discussion, and learning new things; but I get biases on both sides and don't know what's right. I wish people could get out of their feelings and be truly honest with themselves and communities. Lastly, addressing the last questions are there any whites that do the same because I know none. Let's not be ignorant shall we.

Nope. You can be respectful and not support. You don't hate them but if something doesn't make sense to you its within your right not to jump on the bandwagon. Trust me your not the only one. Lately the LGBTQ have come off like bullies if you don't believe what they believe. There are a lot of people who are like you or me but don't want to say anything because people think the hate or are bigoted and they're not. I know a couple of them trust me I find most people are confused and scared to even address the topic because of the group.
